My oh my, where do I even begin. Let’s start with the melee, shall we? Why the actual fück does it do SO much damage and launch you to another timeline. It does 165 damage in total. 100 for in total melee and 65 for explosion, which can hit multiple people.....Oh yeah, you can also never mess up the melee, even if you miss, you can just continuously do the melee until it connects AND THEN it will take the charge. Let’s compare this to the new way of a thousand cuts throwing knifes. If you somehow land ALL 3 PRECISION knifes plus the burn, it does 12 more damage than the voidwalker melee (throwing knifes=49x3=147+6x5 of burn = 177).... First of all, it is near impossible to land all 3 throwing knifes, nevermind precision hits because the knifes spread apart as you throw them, and to be so close that they ALL hit the same target, you will end up just straight up meleeing them instead of throwing the knifes. It is extremely impractical. Also, as mentioned earlier, the void walker melee explodes which can hit multiple people, so can the throwing knifes, but then they do next to no damage if only one knife hits (49 precision damage plus 5 ticks of 2 damage burn). Lastly, why does the voidwalker melee launch you away??? Watch this clip - https://youtu.be/8lIacyD4Bkw
I’ve lost 2 countdown games on comp because of this shit. At the very least, if I as an arcstrider or a sentinel is blocking mid super, you should NOT be able to launch them away from defusing the bomb. That is down right game breaking. The bottom tree sunbreaker has a similar effect except it is literally in the description of the melee. The voidwalker explosion is delayed, after the initial hit so it makes absolutely no sense that it launches you away.
Now, the handheld supernova. The titans have their shoulder charge, fine. I can easily counter it with my chaperone (if the kill isn’t 10 minutes delayed *cough* peer to peer *cough*) and they’ve had it since D1. You have to get in and close to use shoulder charge but, of course, the little fairies get a similar ability except it’s ranged. I wonder why warlocks have never had a melee super....❄️❄️. Not only that, the supernova can kill more than 1 person in one go. Shoulder charge can’t and of course hunters don’t even have an ability to compare. I’m not saying it shouldn’t one shot but atleast make the recharge time much much longer than usual grenades. And before any of you mention “but you have to charge it up”, erm, same with shoulder charge, right? And if hardly even say you have to charge it up, it’s like half a second.
Lastly, the super, nova warp. Is it just me or does it seem like bungie have something against warlocks having balanced roaming supers. Yawnblade, don’t mind me I’m making a sandwich-trance and now nova warp. Firstly, can anyone explain to me why this thing got health regen on kills?? Anyone? I’m really struggling to find a reason. It; has a tiny bit less AoE than a fücking thundercrash, it takes no energy when attacking - only when doing the unkillable teleport which even then you don’t have to do because you have the best gap closing jump in the game that recently got buffed *cough* blink *cough*, a 360° attack that NO other super in the game has and the ability to ONE SHOT a spectral blades super when they HAVE to hit the nova warp 3 FÜCKING times to kill. Watch this - https://youtu.be/BBWfjm_EO28. What can you do against that?? I had full health and tried attacking him but of course, spectral blades never fücking connects without something going wrong. I genuinely don’t think I have ever seen someone activate nova warp and not get at least 3-4 kills. AT LEAST. It is impossible for nova warp to fail because of hit detection or short stopping. It is a complete and utter easy, skill less super and there is no defending it.
I can’t wait for warlocks to defend this and complain about blade barrage, a one time use super that gets about 1-2 kills on average.

1 ReplySeems like it only affects PvP so I'm ok with letting you suffer.
-
9 RepliesHow about we nerf blade barrage
-
2 RepliesImo i'm loving the new void boi. Healing from kills, Roaming super, and exploding melee. My second favorite super in the game.(first is super rifty boi) Finally a good roaming super. Feels like y2 stormcaller days. I mean dont get me wrong stormcaller is good too, but I like Nova warp better.

5 RepliesI feel like the hunter’s throwing knife should go back to one shorting if it is a headshot. Titans get the shoulder charge, warlock’s the handheld supernova, where’s the hunter love? I main a warlock and have since D1 by the way.
-
1 ReplyWhat a surprise. Another PvP player crying on the forums.

Edited by P3rfectEnemy: 10/6/2018 8:18:30 PMI have been a hunter main in Forsaken, but I don’t want to see any nerfs to any supers. Or buffs. If we learn to use any effectively we can all learn to win. Every class has something “OP” and fun to use. Keep it that way. Oh, and my blade barrage routinely wrecks nova warp when I crucible. It’s rare, but I do sometimes!

2 RepliesThe new voidlock is what a super should be kinda like pre nerf pole dancer, it’s scary, it’s powerful, you feel like a legend using it (get it) all that being said the class itself is incredible even outside of the super, the void lock should be the reference point for other supers, everything within that subclass synergies so well, the only other ones I can think of off the top of my head are the blade barrage subclass and the top tree for striker, they’re the only ones that actually work together in their perk pools, all that being said there’s 2 things I feel are in desperate need of change with nova warp, dark blink costs too much energy to use imo maybe get rid of the invincibility and have it cost less energy (cuz let’s be real here I’m sure a fair amount of people don’t even know just how powerful that dark blink is) and the second change is reduce the amount of armor it gets, the fact that you heal after kills is already extremely good, adding a ton of armor onto that just seems a little ridiculous to me especially when 75% of our maps are close quarters it’s pretty hard to shut down a warp, hell yesterday when I was using it I’d run straight towards shotties tank a shot murder them in cold blood and just start regenning again, that’s a little too much imo.
-
Facts my dude. That shit is way too op. You can't even run from Nova Warp, more or less challenge it with your super.
-
20 RepliesBungie loves Warlocks and hate Hunter now. I‘m fine with that because I’m a Warlock. 😜
Is it only me or do Hunter cry the most here on the forum. I don’t talk about „since Forsaken“ even as they were OP as hell they complained a lot. 😂😂
hmmmmm, in my inventory, I found tether.

1 ReplyThere’s a lot wrong with this paragraph. First shoulder charge can kill multiple preppie with one hit because it has an explosion. 2nd the explosion from nova warp does take super energy and finally, the reason you only get 1-2 kills with blade barrage is because it’s not a pvp super. It’s a one use extremely high damage super like nova bomb. Not a roaming super like nova warp or arc staff
-
4 RepliesTitans: have some of the best exotics, fastest straight line speed, and shoulder charge Hunters: have the best shutdown/damage super that requires little aim. As well as having the best mobility Let the warlocks finally have a good pvp roaming super
-
1 ReplyPlease nerf everything in the game so that all guardians just run about hugging each other. More points for for saying polite things to enemies.
-
2 RepliesAww now honey, show me where on the doll the bad warlock touched you. Was it here —->🍑

5 RepliesEdited by Deathie: 10/4/2018 2:13:23 PMHey you want to complain? You can make a warlock and use it for yourself. You'll see that it's not so OP, you're just not countering it well. That warlock melee is slow and has a tendency to whiff. That Supernova requires chargetime and punishes people who hold hands. It also fails and cancels if you accidentally push any buttons other than walk or jump or hold it for too long. The super is great. Strong. It also requires you to get close and charge it up. Fine for individual targets, but a coordinated team can take it down. I've taken them down with fusion rifles and grenades. It could use a smaller blast radius but that's the only thing I could say.

2 RepliesSo in other word you need to git gud... :p
-
If only we had the option to play whatever class we wanted
-
1 ReplyThe super gets heals on the kill because of the final perk on the tree. It's the best subclass that Warlocks have gotten since Stormcaller in TTK. With the charged grenade, I think the reach is ridiculous, the cone for it is too wide, and the collision detection needs work seeing as you could easily kill teammates that are close, whether it's on purpose or on accident. As for the melee, they have other classes/trees that do the same thing. You melee but your charge stays til you get the hit or the kill. (Even titans are like this and some trees on the arc hunter won't lose a charge when you swing your fist around and miss) The only thing that makes this one better for warlocks is it's a guaranteed explosion as opposed to the chaos tree, where you need to kill. As for blade barrage on hunters, I'm a warlock main and I don't want them nerfing the barrage at all. It's a great subclass and provided you have a complementary loadout it can be a blast to use. Whenever I jump onto my hunter I use Ophida Spathe for the 2 charges and I can keep playing with fire going for a long while with it. I'm all for nerfs and buffs provided they're reasonable and not an overcorrection that makes the class/gun/armor so bad that it won't be touched anymore or turns them into something so cancerous that you have to use it to fight it. (Like Graviton or Vigilance Wing last season), I just wish Bungie would separate PVP stats from PVE stats when making these adjustments. It's understandable if the crucible is different from PVE because they have different strats to balance off of. They shouldn't be held to the same scale.

1 ReplyIts honestly pathetic that anyone can even try to defend this. Nova Warp is broken
-
4 RepliesHow is the handheld Nova different than a shotgun, other than the fact that you have to charge it?
-
get good.
-
4 RepliesWarlocks are still underused so this was needed. I think it’s fine and I easily shut them down with blade barriage, striker missile, suppressor, etc. every class is viable now. This is the most balance the crucible has ever been. If you think it’s so OP then you start using it 24/7 bet you change your mind and go back to hunter where you belong scrub.

2 RepliesEdited by NerfPaladins06: 10/3/2018 6:05:01 PM- I still have to hit you twice with melee or melee + follow up shot. Does it really matter how much actual damage a melee does if you still have to damage an enemy twice to kill? - Handheld Super Nova, haven't seen it 1 shot multiple players. It shoots out 3 mini void bolts and to me it seems like you have to land 2 of them to get a kill. Any time I've shot at a cluster of players and only hit a single bolt per player it never kills. - Nova Warp I admit is pretty brain dead and ez mode. Don't bring Dawnblade and Stormcaller into this though. People jump over Dawnblade and Stormcaller while it seemingly melts you on your end, it feels like it takes FOREVER to kill people on our end.

3 RepliesEdited by Anita Hanjaab: 10/3/2018 8:13:03 PMYou know nothing Hunter. If you put in the effort it took for you to write the post you could actually Get gud
