Destiny 2 PC - Strict NAT even with UPnP enabled in router

I have a Cisco DPC3928AD router, and UPnP is enabled in it's configuration settings. Even so, since Forsaken launched I get a "Strict NAT" error whenever I start the game. PLEASE Bungie I need a fix, it seems to be affecting my gameplay as I get constant disconnects and "Contacting Destiny 2 servers" frequently. I play Overwatch and World of Warcraft without issues. Why is this game so complicated to set up??

  • I started having the same problem myself all of a sudden a few days ago. UPnP has always been enabled, still is, I also tried forwarding the ports but it didn't work. Do you still have this problem or did it get fixed by itself later on?

    • You have to open the Nat in the router as well, UPnP doesn't necessarily mean the NAT will be open. Open the router and find the Security tab or it may be even in the Firewall tab, Should say NAT some where and the option to Open it, Don;t disable NAT or you will not have internet. You can port forward as well, though I can't explain on how to do that in that router as I've never messed around with that model. You can also set DMZ to your computer (not recommended but it will work) Find the DMZ tab in the router, Find out your computers IPv4 address, If you have windows 10, open task manager and go to the Wifi details tab, or Ethernet details tab and you enter the IPv4 address into the DMZ and it will open all ports to your computer. Or you can press Windows key + R, it will open the run box, Type in "cmd" without the quotes and hit enter, a black box will open up, Type in "ipconfig" without quotes and hit enter, Look for the IPv4 Address and use that number for the DMZ. Not recommended as it just open the computer up to the internet, I've run in DMZ for years my self and not had one problem, but that don't mean you wont.

        • Please, anyone? I really could use some help. What kind of customer support is this? I've opened the required ports. I've correctly set up UPnP. I've restored Windows Firewall settings to default. I've tried using DMZ. I still get that message every since Forsaken launched.
