Crimson Catalyst
Is there anything specific I need to do in order to get this to drop? For example do I have to be on mars? Is it exclusive to any sort of game mode? Does the "Three of Coins" from Xur help with the drop chance?

Just kill stuff. I had mine drop while killing a red bar enemy in escalation protocol. 3 of coin has no impact on catalysts dropping.

There isn't a specific activity for this catalyst to drop. It is random and can be acquired through any activity across all planets. When it drops, it drops.

1 Reply3oC's does NOT help your catalyst drop percentage. It just takes time and a little RNG luck. There is nothing specific that will 'trigger' it to drop for you.
