Rather than thinking of a new enemy, or re-skinning and old enemy. How about we make the threat something all too familiar......
A group of Rogue guardians, thought dead, or possible a group that's been rising to glory in the shadow of your own guardian during the storylines. They decide it's time for a change, they see that you've done all the work, and without you Zavala, Ikora, and Cayde would have not only lost the city, but let the human populace reach extinction.
So they try to take control with a large following of other Guardians, story mode fights gain a PvP aspect as you fight guardian NPC's throughout the story until you finish it all with a 1v3 battle against the new faction.
With Zavala and his team defeated, Shaxx and Saladin help guide you with their PvP prowess, and you pledge to 1 of the 3 Factions Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, or Future War cult to aid in the things going on behind the scenes, each effecting your storyline differently.

Edited by The_Nystro: 6/9/2018 6:08:07 AMThose would no longer be Guardians. Those would be the Warlords of Old, Risen who use their Traveler-given powers for themselves.

Welcome to The Division.

The only problem is neither side of that fight would stay dead. Seems interesting though.

Edited by Ghostfire239: 6/6/2018 11:30:32 PMI love this idea. I've always wanted to know an what an enemy NPC Guardian would be like. A Shadowmark vs A Bladedancer would be an interesting cutscene to watch to say the least.

This might be the case with Dregden Yor or Toland. Doubt we'll ever get to meet them.

7 RepliesIf this leads to world pvp you got it

Good idea, it would be a great story to play through

I think that would be a really interesting dlc

3 RepliesLook up the shadows of Yor. Those are your Rogue Guardians

You gotta be ready to shell out $100 for the whole expansion. The watered down content with 65% of it removed is $70.
"Throw your money at the screen."
-
Hmm, if they did that they can incorporate some Yor lore. Cause there were guardians who took the name of Yor and sought weapons like the Thorn
-
Isn't that was CoO and Warmind are. Guardians that went rogue....
-
Well Bungie still has about 5 more years with Destiny so who know what they have planned.
-
So a reiteration of the Warlords from the Dark Ages?
-
Someone has been playing too much Division.

6 RepliesImagine it like the hunters In the division.

1 ReplyI like that 💡💪🏾.......... rouge guardians......... 👍🏾. Bungie, get to work!

2 RepliesSounds a lot like Mist of pandaria in WoW, not a lot of people like forced pvp for story progression

How about we make the threat something all too familiar......
how about we leave the game development to the game developers

1 ReplyI remember there being a group of rebellious guardians throughout D1 story/grimoire. There were the warlords the iron lords had to put down, and then there was that faction that had the hidden sparrow on bannerfall. So it could definitely be possible!

Edited by Demon_XXVII: 6/5/2018 2:57:50 PMA rebellion A coup d'état My Guardian would put Tess's head on a spike, alongside Rahools

1 ReplyIf they're rogue, then they're not Guardians.
-
1 ReplyAlways wanted this in Destiny since the first game. Would be amazing to fight other guardians in PVE. We never think about it but all the other races except maybe the Vex are terrified of us. Would be cool to see a guardian from their perspective all menacing like.
-
1 ReplyTaken Guardians. We know it's a thing that can happen. Just sayin'...

It needs to be worked in a bit more keep in mind that the city survived for quite sometime before our guardian first arrived.
