Now, honestly. They look nothing like the original IO set. However its obvious that the IO Sets were used as a base for the entire ornament. But they added stuff and changed some stuff. The most obvious thing is the chest piece for all of them. I think these ornaments look badass. I just wanted to point this out though.

This is how Destiny has worked since the earliest days of D1. There's a selection of 7 or eight different armor sets and a handful of base models for each weapon types. Then they get tweaked and twisted, some get stuff added, some get stuff removed. When you need to make this much armor and so many weapons this is really the only sensible approach. Keep the highly unique stuff for exotics and whatnot.

1 ReplyI only noticed the Titan chestpiece being overtly a reskin of the Gensym set. It's pretty damn obvious. Dunno about the others.
