In conclusion is PLAUSIBLE that Cortana and Halsey actually expected both Noble Six and Master Chief to partake in the mission and should either one fail the other one was available, now Six, decided to sacrifice himself to buy Keyes more time, maybe he was hoping Jun would miraculously assist him out of nowhere, or maybe he just was plain old Spartan pride to not live while the rest of his team died.... you gotta admit Jorge's dead was pretty stupid...

If you listen to the cutscene Halsey tells 6 that you have to get this to the Autumn not 'She chose you to fight with her' Hence your objective was give Keyes Cortana not dust off in the Autumn, you were still in Noble Team and at that time there was still a Noble team you couldn't just abandon your team and say 'see ya guys she wants me to go with her have fun defending the planet!'

actually nobel 3 died he was stabbed in the back by an elite energy sword it doesnt show him die because he was to busy killing and went out of view. but you can tell he woud die by that kind of body damage

Cortana chose Noble 6(and if you read Halsey's journal that is a single of two fragments of Cortana) to transport her safely to the Autumn. Noble 6 is asked to board the Pelican because the Covenant are swarming over the place and he would die otherwise. Noble 6 makes the decision to buy the Autumn time to escape, declining the offer to live. I can see how you'd make the connection, but you're making a little bit of a leap assuming that Cortana wanted a Spartan-III(Which Halsey wasn't aware of them being actual Spartans, Cortana was choosing a Spartan-II which Halsey and Cortana were aware of.)[/quote] Ah, is that how it actually was? I don't have the limited edition so I don't have the journal but if that's what it says then I guess that's true. The conversation with Keyes made it seem the opposite though because Noble 3(?) was still alive on the Mac cannon and I doubt Keyes is the kinda guy to save one spartan and let another one die, and I'm sure he would know Spartans have their pride and wouldn't ask Noble 6 to leave 3 there already knowing how they feel about losing everyone else unless there was a good reason like having been chosen by a super AI

Nah, If you actually pay attention to what Keyes says to Noble 6 he tells him to hurry up and get on she chose you (or something along those lines) If she didn't chose him to stay with her forever he would've just stayed there with the other spartan (Noble 3 i think?) and Keyes wouldn't have bothered to tell him to get on the pelican.

chief is in the pillar when six is transporting her most likely she chooses six to be a transporter to get to to her real choose after all chief is the top spartan next to six.

I played the game, haven't beat it. But from a friend that works at 343 and beat it. He says that Cortana didn't pick N6 to be her partner forever. She picked him JUST for the transport. So.. idk if this helps.

Cortana only picked 6 to transport her, not be be her partner.

RetCon, my friend. It's also VERY confusing when you compare it to the book: "Fall of Reach" This game is inconsistent with the book, and Halo 3. It may or may not be canon, actually. [Edited on 09.16.2010 12:00 AM PDT]
