If you purchase a physical copy of Destiny - The Taken King - Legendary Edition for any system (old gen OR new gen), the codes you receive in the box will be expired, used, or missing. If it's new, it'll be expired, if it's used, then the codes are most likely either used or missing; if they're not, they're going to be expired. There is no possibility of getting replacement codes; the codes you'd need to get would be from the retailer, and the retailer does not have access to codes that aren't expired for any physical copies of that specific version. If you purchase any physical copy of Destiny for Xbox 360 or PS3 at this point, whether new or used, regardless of what the box says, you're just going to be purchasing the base game disk in it, as all codes will be expired (even in a new unopened box), used, or gone. If you're wanting to purchase Destiny for the old generation systems and want access to the complete experience that you can have access to, you'll need to either purchase Destiny physically (just the base game is needed; all of the disks that come with all versions of Destiny are just the base game, all DLC is on code cards) and then go to the console store and separately purchase The Taken King expansion (which comes with House of Wolves and The Dark Below), OR you need to simply go to the console store and purchase Destiny - The Taken King - Legendary Edition outright. I have seen others on the forums having issues with the codes. I would recommend asking the retailer specifically about the code before purchase and what happens of code doesnt work. I would also recommend detailed notes as to who you spoke to when you do.
