Anyone know anything about this strange lost sector? With the room with a dead Vex, the room you can jump across to with a weird mural on the wall, and the little cubes that pop up when you kill all the regular Vex, it seems like this place is hiding some secret. You can leave the boss, The Ruined Mind, alive. But when you kill all the normal Vex, these little... repair cubes?... pop out. You can destroy them, though it doesn’t seem to do much. To me it looks like there was a malfunction, and the white beam that powers Vex tech is not passing through all the points anymore.

Random thought but has anyone experimented using the prospector to explode all cubes at once. I would try this myself but haven’t found the room yet.

Edited by milo: 10/31/2017 7:17:04 PMThe room with the empty vex is directly below the secret room with the altar. If standing directly in front of the altar, or inactive vex, you are standing directly West a known important vex direction. Each vex killed spawns a "cube" I believe there is select vex that need killed n some that are needed to be left alive. Just have to find the pattern. O my starting to sound like seventh....

1 ReplyEdited by Lozepath: 10/30/2017 10:28:26 PMI'd like to mention something that no one has discovered here in this lost sector. At least I haven't seen anyone post about it. During the last Faction Rally I was cleaning the place out for FWC and in the room opposite of the ruined mind, the one that is behind the giant portal looking thing across the huge gap, I found something really weird. Normally that room is empty, but during the Faction Rally there was a golden age computer box thing with a huge purple blue crystal sticking out of it. It looked like a massive legendary shard exploded out of a Toshiba server. I could scan it and so I did and lakshmi said some cryptic bs along the lines of "we knew you would find something of great importance out in the wilds, we knew you would find it here". And that was it. Scanned it, got some cryptic bs and 3 faction tokens. Told my friend on Xbox to check it out and he got the same thing but since he's NM, he got hideo saying that only a true king could use this/unlock it's power. I was wondering if anybody else got this, especially any dead orbit folks, curious about what the goth overlord said about it. Didn't think to record this as I thought it was just some bungie faction rally gimmick, like the enemy supplies found in these lost sectors.

It’s probably just cut content from the main release that’s being re-purposed for the Osiris dlc. Bungie love a bit of re-purposing, saves on the cashy. Use the area again, add a few lines of dialogue about “Osiris passing through here, blah blah blah”, hand you an exotic you already have or had from D1 and bam, that’s a whole story mission right there.

Scrapped story content left to rot no doubt. Maybe a future adventure will shed some light. Or a present one, I’ve only done the ones I had to do to progress.

1 ReplySo I went in here for shits and giggles after reading this to check it out. There’s def something interesting probably going to happen here. Across the room is what looks like a portal you have to jump to. It’s just an empty room for now but in one of the rooms there is a little pedestal looking thing where it seems a chest or something you’re required to find would be sitting. Very intriguing.

2 RepliesI can tell you that in D1 the Aphix Invasive was the vex segment that was in the prison of elders. Not sure what that has to do with anything, but there

Those cubes seem to spawn with each Vex you kill. My first time running through it I just quickly killed all of the Vex and then destroyed every single one of the cubes (took a while). Second time I killed a couple Vex and noticed cubes showing up after their destruction. This doesn’t occur anywhere else, so it’s possible that there is something fishy happening there.

Its osiris -blam!-ing with their stuff.

1 ReplyI haven't seen this sector yet, but are you talking about oracles?

8 RepliesYeah, I found that place on accident when trying to find a way to the regional chest near it. I agree it's out of the ordinary. I hope the Archival Mind does a lore post on it.

Not quite sure what those things are. It was definite cool looking though

There’s definitely some strange stuff going on in there. Different chambers, several portals, those floating cube things
