Hello,
I've just bought Destiny 2 on the PC platform and downloaded it through battle.net. When i try to start the game i stumble upon an Error code "Buffalo".
I'm very sure that I'm logged on to battle.net and that is where I launch the game from. I do not have any other PC's and I've never logged on to the battle.net client on any other PC than the one I'm using. I have not even been able to get into the game at all since I bought it... which is extremely annoying! I've restarted the battle.net client a number of times and also logged myself out and in again. I've also tried restarted my PC without any success.
Please can anyone support with this issue

I havent played for a few months, reinstalled the game and i cant play. tried 3 different networks, reinstalling the game, deleting appdata folders, not logged in on any other computer. on playing history it says last time i played 2nd september 2018 (well not a few months but almost a year :P) been trying for a week

same issue, full system format. reinstall. update and same issue. tech support is useless. they say goto our forums. so..... They want us to fix their problems for them. I wont buy another title from these clowns ever.,

Well, i had the same issue, BUT the VPN helped me. I think there are some restrictions on your internet provider. Make sure u make the VPN from "good" server. I live in Russia and i was using the 4g modem, the Buffalo error came down every 5-10 minutes, especially during Public events. When i made the VPN from another russian server, Buffalo error stopped at last.

Still having this issue and I've tried everything that was suggested in almost every topic I could find on Google. I'm getting this error code every 1.5-3 hours. It's driving me insane.
-
I get this same issue as well. It wasn't always like this though.

1 ReplyHad the same issue, but solved it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEju8tsRgX8 If you dont want to watch, RESTART ROUTER. It worked fine to me. If it worked for you, click and like my video!

Same issue here. Every 1.5-3 hours, the game will go to a white screen and give me this error code. This is extremely annoying. I can't reliably do the raid, because I never know when I'm going to get logged out because of this. Bungie, please help us out here. This is a very frustrating issue.

1 ReplyI'm in the same boat I cant even log in at all game crashes and gives me buffalo over and over restarted restarted router nothing I cant play the game at all let alone for 30mins.
-
I am having this same issue. I attempted the Bungie Help guidelines with very limited success. The router reset worked once. I Buffalo before I can get to Character Select. If I make it to Character Select, I may or may not Buffalo before loading the Tower. If I can load Tower without Buffalo, then I can play indefinitely.

1 ReplyI can get a few hours of playtime before this Buffalo error happens. It seems to occur right on time as if to let me know 2~3 hours is enough play time. I hate it when I'm on a quest and this happens, I can log back in with no issues but this disconnect thing sucks when I have to start the quest over from the beginning. Not sure if using a static LAN IP address and google's pubic DNS have anything to do with it since that's what I've been using. I'm not logged in to any other computer as I only have this computer. Also, on Verizon FIOS 50/50 so Internet connection is probably not the issue.

Same issue here ... and dear Bungie doesn't have support system. It is ... buy our game, read help forum, if it doesn't help sad for you, we already got your money.

wtf u bungie doing ur -blam!-ing game is not playabale by everyone and u just make patch for the raid are u kidding me just repair ur game and this -blam!-ing buffalo error or give me my 100 $ back!
-
1 ReplyI can load the main screen to Destiny 2, then when I hit enter it says "error code: Buffalo" and closes the game before I can even get to the character screen... How does Bungie not have a solution to this yet? I'm getting to the point where I just want my $60 back.

same error..cant even finish any mission becouse of that error. have only 1 pc, and my using lan not wifi..with 150mb/s internet.. have no idea whats wrong, hope they fix it. just got the game and that ruins all

Edited by pyrocyborg: 10/31/2017 7:14:42 PMGetting this error a few times every day now since yesterday (Hotfix). Seems to happen hourly or so, generally right before completing an event.
-
I have this issue too :(
-
Same here..... I seriously can't play it. Disconnecting about 3 times an hour, wtf...
-
I have this thing as well. yesterday it kicked me out 3 times within 1 hour, and combine that with the fact that i need 10min to connect to the server, can't play at all. same thing today, only once so far, but literally unplayable if it keeps happening this much. I have only 1 computer, i am logged in bnet so this shouldn't happen.

Same boat, I get error Buffalo regardless of what I try. Apparently trying everything I found here on the forums has been unsuccessful too. Ranging from Blizzard app voice chat, to Discord. So decided to try pretty much everything that can conceivably be done to try and isolate what's causing it: • Reinstalled Destiny 2 o Deleted any registry, temp, folder remnants. • Scan and Repair • Closed all applications but Blizzard App • Reinstalled Windows (I do this every Creator’s Update anyway) o Only installed Windows, updates, drivers, Blizzard App, D2 • Launched game via hitting Play in the Blizzard App with no modification. • Went to actual application executable and under compatibility, manually set "Run as Administrator" • Under compatibility, changed to different OS compatibility modes. • Performed these same compatibility changes to the Blizzard app as well. My friend brought his laptop over that he plays on, and did a couple account tests. • He could successfully log into the game on his laptop, on his account. • He could successfully log into the game on my computer, on his account. • I was unable to log into the game on either computer, on my account. So it's obviously more than just a computer, account or application related issue since it also seems to target accounts. Couple details that are immutable: • Due to the way licensing works for Win10, I am logged into a Microsoft account as the only non-built-in account on the computer, and by default in the administrator's group. • Computer is hard wired via gigabit ethernet to my router, using Centurylink gigabit fiber. • Trace and connectivity tests are reporting 3ms ping with no jitter or drops to Battle net servers.

1 ReplyHey guys, Not sure if this is the correct fix, but i disabled my Norton WiFi Privacy (disabled VPN), and connection issues, including buffalo code, were fixed for me. Again, not sure if it's the right fix, but if you guys have some sort of VPN, maybe disabling it will help you like it helped me.

ditto here, same issue, just installed
