What Race is Shaxx
I have recently been wondering what race Shaxx is. If this information has already been revealed to us, please forgive my ignorance. Shaxx is probably one of my favorite characters so i am actually curious about his background. I know most of his history: success in the crucible, victories against the fallen, apprenticeship along with Zavala under Saladin, etc. but his race still eludes me. I don’t think he is an Exo simply because he does not have a number after his name, that isn’t really conclusive evidence though. I personally think he is awoken. Anyone else have any theories or light to shed on the subject?

He was a warlord and I don't think the awoken showed up until after the warlords

The only reason we know Lord Shaxx isn't an Exo is because of his tone. I always assumed he was either Awoken or Human or maybe even mixed. By his accent, I'm thinking he's either a Reefborn Awoken or a British Human. Keep in mind that his actor is black, not being racist in any way but I just thought that information would be useful in case someone was wondering about his appearance.

Hard to say with that helmet forever locked on his dome; Exo he most definitely isn't, and given the tonal structure of his voice he can be either Human or Awoken... he speaks formal, while being boisterous and animated; a mix of both races... possibly an Awoken, proud of his route to stardom and triumphs. One thing that makes me question what his race is regards his relationship with Mara Sov; which makes me think more that he's Awoken; I always wondered if they had a love child.

2 RepliesShaxx can’t be an expo otherwise he’s gonna have numbers in his name, so it’s guaranteed to be awoken or human, if we listen to voices of master rahool, Asher, zavala. Shaxx sounds nothing like them. If shaxx was older he’d have the same voice as Saladin, so I think his a young human

I mean, his voice actor is Lennie James who plays Morgan Jones on both walking dead shows. So I'm guessing he's human

Shaxs is an undercover fallen. That is why he is getting all the gaurdians to kill eachother with powerfull weapons that he wants to get nerfed.

4 RepliesThe character seems very white anglo-saxon/northwest Europe. Though that's kind of unlikely, looking at other NPCs ... I think Amanda and the lady who sold shaders were about it ... The voice actor is Lennie James, the guy on Walking Dead with the staff.

Human, most likely. Considering the role he played in the City being founded, there's a decent chance that he's human. Plus, his voice doesn't have the traits of an Exo or Awoken
