I tried it last night for the first time. I thought these things were bad enough in PvE, but holy heck. These things are useless junk in PvP. I couldn't get a single kill with one. NOT ONE. Multiple hits didn't do a thing. Sometimes, these things would just happily bounce past players like tennis balls. Even when they did score a hit, it was nothing more than a mosquito bite to the enemy players. I don't even see a point at all to even having them in the game when they are this weak.

Yes... they are great. Just need to practice using them. Pick 1. I suggest play of the game crucible one with proximity detonation or iron banner one with sticky grenades. Use it for at least 6 matches or so. Get used to the arc and hip firing. The . Watch as they melt in front of you. Fighting lion is decent too. Use it like a shotgun. Then you have a heavy all day.

Play of the game crucible grenade launcher is okay
-
The sticky ones can be fun. In a baiting fashion.
-
I did. Thought I missed every nade.. "TRIPLE KILL!" o_o okay shaxx if you say so

1 Reply"Play the game" the cruicable launcher is amazing it's the only 1 worth using it has proximity grenades which work a lot like old grenades and horse shoes. It's a lot of fun
-
I've seen mfs kill me around corners and shoot it over walls to kill me with them😂
-
Don't use them in PvE, nevermind PvP. I shard ALL grenade launchers. Swords is where it's at for me in both. I can't hit anything with either grenade launchers or shotguns.
-
4 RepliesPlay of the game, plain and simple. Literally don't use any other grenade launcher in PvP because most other ones suck.
-
They aren't part of the meta in PvP, you HAVE to use the Mida
-
2 RepliesI think that Flash and Thunder is pretty good as a support weapon. Just blind the enemy team with it, and let your teammates take care of the rest.
-
I sometimes use the Ortheus and with its decent velocity, you can one hit people fairly easily.
-
PotG has prox detonation. Pretty sweet.

Edited by BaconRiot: 10/3/2017 11:02:55 PMI haven't tested them, but I've had trials teammates do serious work consistently with 'em. Like last guardian standing triple kills more than once in the same game type of work. I think getting a feel for them is a big part of it. The strategy used most often was to gain a lot of elevation on corners and splash oncoming rushers. Also make sure you're using whatever archetype is 'best' right now.

4 RepliesReal PvP gods like me use Fighting Lion... Who am I kidding, that gun sucks.
-
5 Repliesthey are so not worth in PvE either. In PvP your are way better off with a sword or a shotgun.
-
I use Ortheus in PvP. Trigger release det makes it so you literally have to miss to not kill someone. Also it gets the best blast radius of them all.
-
You, my good sir, need a Berenger's Memory. Prox-det and sticky makes kills and Nade Traps as easy as pie.

3 RepliesEdited by Brandolier: 10/3/2017 8:32:11 PMYou need the right launcher. The Crucible grenade launcher, Play of the Game, is amazing in PvP. It is literally one of the best PvP power weapons in the game. Super high rate of fire and proximity detonation so the grenades explode when they get near enemies. I mow down teams with that thing.

I did once. Got a double out of it. Probably I'll use it more on CQC maps.

15 RepliesEdited by spaids669: 10/3/2017 7:59:59 PMThey can be good in pvp but you gotta land direct impacts and have a drum styled grenade launcher. I can give you maximum potential damage comparison if you're interested.
