I went into my router and even allocated all of the bandwidth to my xbox, yet I keep getting these error codes over and over. Sometimes within intervals of 5 - 15 minutes.
Bungie, is there any specific details about Weasel and Beetle codes that you can provide aside from "general networking problems"?
I hate to brag but, my internet is impeccable, being able to connect to European servers on PC games with only 70ms from New York, I don't see why I should be constantly getting these errors.

This just started happening to me too😭
-
Finally someone that shares the same problems. Here is pretty much the same thing, every time I start the game these codes appears, especially the Weasel one. I don't know if it's just me but it seems that these errors appers more when I try an activity for the first time after I launch the game. After 5-10 minutes trying it gets kind of stable, but I keep getting disconnected sporadically. I get really frustrated because I know that every time I want to play I have to wait some minutes trying to get a stable connection with the servers.

4 RepliesSame thing is happening to me. Even during Destiny 1 I've always had great luck with getting few error codes compared to friends. I've had no issues until this last update and no get contacting Destiny servers every time I play. This is followed by the lovely weasel and other various error codes in every activity I try. Ran 5 crucible matches earlier, all 5 had a black screen in the middle of the game. It reconnected me, but still lost a minute of playing mid match. The faction rally had me going crazy earlier. I would go to a lost sector, kill a chunk of enemies and then kicked. Had to restart it all again. The final straw was trying to complete flashpoint on IO. Got kicked from 2 separate pub events and thought I'd give it one more try. 40 seconds left and it booted me to the fast travel checkpoint. No completion. I've reset router and modem multiple times and all other games work fine. Have done 3 hard resets on the Xbox and the only step left is to do a complete uninstall. This is getting ridiculous.

I'm suffering from this too. For me everything was fine until the first patch, then I started getting disconnects and boots for no reason. Since the most recent patch though, I'm afraid to even start an activity because it's nonstop disconnects. I've gotten 4 in the last hour. It's not my network. I don't give a shit what Bungie says. I'm a Senior Systems Engineer and well versed in all of this. My ports are forwarded. My Nats open. Every game works as it should on Xbox One, but Destiny 2 takes constant dumps. Also party chat is constantly getting jacked up in D2, just like the first year of D1.. This is abysmal. All I wanted to do tonight was get home crack a beer and get an early raid in, and I'm hesitant to even join a group because I've been disconnected 4 times in the past hour. There are a ton of people on reddit with the same problem but most dont report it because bungie keeps saying its not on their end. This shit is out of control.

5 RepliesWeasel typically means you're having packet loss. You may have good connection speed, but if packets are dropping along the way, Destiny will boot you out.
-
Join the club. Occasionally I get the thing across the bottom saying contacting servers. Most of the time though the screen goes completely white and it pops up with weasel. Packet loss is between 0% and 3%. I seriously think bungle needs to work on connection issues more than anything.

1 ReplyI’ve also got very good internet for my area, and I don’t think I’ve gone a single day without seeing “Contacting Destiny 2 Servers” at least once. Even if I don’t get booted, it still worries me that I’m about to get some kind of error.
-
It's not just you, I haven't had issues since launch until today. I haven't been able to complete a single PvP match with my Fireteam today without an error happening. Ironically every time a match we're winning is about to end.

anyone find anything out about this? I'm having a similar issue...see below for my post that they haven't responded to yet: Everytime i go to the tower now and try to do anything i get booted to the title screen with a WEASEL error. I press A to go through the title screen and then get hit with MARIONBERRY that crashes my Xbox One Network. I have already hard rebooted Xbox One and continues to happen. I reset to factory, reinstalled, and still happens. I reset my router and modem. My brother in law is sitting right next to me and his works just fine, so i know its not my network. Please fix this. just started happening really annoyingly last night!!!! I can record what exactly happens if i need to send to you... Bungie this is unacceptable!!!

YOU ARE NOT ALONE, MAYBE FORGOTTEN THO. I have had constant issues with bungie "servers" since launch. Hardwired connection, 65/6 mbps, and get booted/error coded left and right. Thought it was the router setting/isp issues but funny enough when I load any other game my connection is fine. It's sad these "hybrid" servers bungie implemented are complete trash. I find it hard to even try and troubleshoot a problem I cannot fix. Spend countless hours doing so to really come to the conclusion it's not on my end. Game is starting to become unplayable in the current state. I'd just love a response or update on what is actually wrong. I could careless about Faction rallies if I can't even stay connected for more than a couple hours (if I'm lucky).
-
In the last hour I've had Baboon, Bee, Anteater, Beetle four fracking times. What is going on? If your game wasn't ready to play none of us would have minded waiting for a finished, bug free product.
-
1 ReplyI can't stay connected to the game for 10 minutes without getting kicked I CANT EVEN COMPLETE A STRIKE! it's not my internet. 200 mbps isn't bad. Not to mention it stays at 41 ping on overwatch all day, but apparently it's not good enough for bungie.

3 RepliesEdited by YellowSeven: 9/26/2017 7:42:05 PMI'm right there with you. I did the grind for the first two weeks to get three characters to level 20. Then this last Friday the 22nd I started getting booted about every 5 to 30 minutes of play time. Mostly getting the Weasel error code. I have also contacted my service provider, which said that everything was running great. They did send four software updates to my modem, and it has made no difference. I have done hard resets on my box, and also reset my modem and router several times. I can usually get in about 30 minutes of play time if and when I do that. Then it's out to the log in screen every 5 to 10 minutes if I'm lucky. I have run a speedtest several times. @ Speedtest.net I keep getting results that but my download speeds and upload speeds well above what my service provider promises me I will have. I did try Destiny 1 and was having the same problems. Where just three weeks ago before D2 came out we played the crap out of D1 for old times sake, and had no problems. Now I can't play either games. Just getting very frustrated as I have several friends in the area, and there not having any issues. Even my son playing on the same internet in the same house isn't having any or I should say very few problems. He has had a few, but not since I called my provider. Anyway any suggestions would be great. I have considered uninstalling the game, and reinstalling it. Obviously hoping that might work. I would assume that if I were to do that, I would still have all three characters at the same point. Level 20 right??? Does anyone know for sure? Of course I would be willing to grind out the three characters from scratch again if I knew for sure that it would fix the problem. All I can tell you is I'm not having any multiplayer problems on any other games. But with destiny I am. Hoping Bungie can get this fixed. YellowSeven

3 RepliesThanks for the reply. To me none of it makes sense. I have three xbox ones in my house. I purchased to digital copies of D2. I have one, and my 14 year old game shares with my 8 year old. The two of them don't seem to be having any issues. My oldest son did have a few issues, but they have cleared up. I however seem to be having issues constantly. I really feel like it's gamertag based somehow. Not that Bungie is trying to single people out, but that I guess if you get the bug so to speak it's hard to get rid of. That's why I was thinking of doing the reinstall. And thank you BTW of reassuring me that your characters didn't actually get deleted. I was pretty sure on that, but you never know. At this point I'm about willing to try anything. As for the clan thing, I started a clan so that I could get my two boys in one as well as some of my sons friends, a few other family members and a few people that are actually completely new to destiny. We currently only have twelve members. My point on bringing that up, is that I have no invites, so I can't imagine that's an issue. In my household at any given time we could have several devises using the internet. All my kids (3 of them) and my wife have tablets that use Wifi. We have five cell phones on Wifi. No my 8 year old does not have a cell phone. I have two. One for work and one personal. We have netflix on out TV Wifi as well. So at any given time we have tablets, phones and oh ya my wife uses her work laptop on the Wifi. My point is this. I thought that maybe having all the bandwidth spread out might have an effect. But even when there all doing or watching something, or even when my family is all gone and I'm home alone the only one using bandwidth, it's all the same. And I'm wired into my box. I'm not using Wifi. So I don't know what to do. Ill keep an eye on this post, and if I can figure something out, or something changes I will post on here as to what transpired. At this point though I'm stumped as it is only happening on the Destiny servers. D1 and D2. No other games are affected. Thanks for your input. Yellowseven

11 RepliesEdited by ElvenBlossom: 9/26/2017 7:16:03 PMI keep getting them too, but I'm also having it affect Xbox Party chat and in game chat. I cannot hear anyone if I do anything other than sit in orbit, I also get kicked from party when getting the Weasel error. The game has also been freezing for a couple seconds every few minutes, none of this was happening to me till the maintenance yesterday. I've reset the my net countless times, my NAT type is Open, I've tried Hard Resetting and clearing the system cache, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, I've moved the game from external to internal storage, I've called my service provider who has told me that all ports are open. I don't know what is wrong or if there is anything I can do on my end to fix it. I don't have this issue with any other game, not even Destiny which I loaded up before just to test. Though I did have the Weasel errors on D1 in Year 1 which prevented me from playing the game for a whole month. EDIT: Oh and the best part about it, is my Boyfriend is currently sitting beside me on his Xbox One playing Destiny 2 without a single problem.
