[BUNGIE] PlayStation Error CE-34878-0

Hello, We are aware of reports that some PlayStation 4 players encountering crashes when attempting to play Destiny 2. We are currently investigating with platform partners to identify the cause for this issue.   • Still get crash any fix or update to this. I want to play this game with friends and look like an idiot that spent money on a ps4 pro that cant even play the game it was made for.

  • It's not only the PS4 pro's, this is also happening to standard PS4 consoles.Destiny 2 was working flawlessly for me until the latest update 1.19. Deleted the game and re-downloaded and installed the update, and it worked flawlessly for a week until it started crashing again. After attempting to re-download the update failed twice in a row, and turning off the HDCP didn't do anything I decided to Initialize the PS4, and now the game keeps crashing in the loading screen. Initialized the PS4 again and attempting to re-download the update for the final time. If this doesn't work I'm done Bungie, First you punish all of my friends and myself for being unable to afford a PS4 or Xbox 1 by taking away the Iron Banner and seriously reducing Xur's items in the first Destiny, and now this Shenanigans. I'm sick of hearing people say it's not Bungie, of course it's them, all of my other games work perfectly.

  • My son is having this error on his PS4 Pro, have tried both the disk and a download of the game. As of 5/10/2018 both his system software and D2 software are up to date. Any ideas?

    • Hello, is there any possibilitiy to solf this issue with the HDR? Since last Update from Bungie, I cannot play destiny 2 without a System Crash every 20min!! Got a PS4 Pro and updated all System Software and Game Updates. Bungie?! What is this please? Is this the overwhelming gaming experience what you offered and promised to all of us? After all other bad news about Destiny, all good ideas from D1, which are delated in D2 and all wrong new ideas in D2...please do your only Job to get all your customers have a stabil System to play the Game what we have paid. We don‘t want exraordinary New ways to pay you additional for your product. Just deliver performance what you promised...not more but also not less, please!

    • It is not bungie people. Stop blaming them this isn't their fault some of you will listen to me others will be bullheaded fools and stick with their fixed mindsets. So here me out. I have been having the EXACT same problem as people with destiny 1 and 2 on call of duty WW2. What it comes down to to fix it are two options. You can COMPLETLEY DELETE the game, or you can back it up to a USB, send it to PlayStation after you call them to get it fixed for up to 1-2 weeks possibly three and if you had the ps4 they will send a pro and it will be fixed. the best option I see to just delete the whole game and start over. Because if it is corrupted and on the USB it can corrupt other games and indefinitely won't help fix the game so suck it up and get rid of it.

    • This is a joke. I have done 4 initialisation of console, 14 downloads of destiny 2. Got game on cd and from psn. And i have that crash code everyday-there is a crash list of 50 crashes of your game and I Got it only 7 days now. Got the latest software from safe mode. And there is no answer from your side or actualisation of this thread? This is madness.

    • People, move on with this post and get Sony to act. They have replaced my PS4 Pro unit and so far so good - ZERO crashes and problems. They know they messed up, that's why the are bringing a new, upgraded model of PS4 Pro into the market. Just call Sony and get your unit replaced.

        I have never had any issues with my connection until tonight, now I can't even play the -blam!-ing game. I was just kind of annoyed until I found out that Bungie and Sony "are working on it together"......apparently since launch. It seems that between the last ps4 software update and the latest destiny patch, y'all have only been working on infecting more and more players. Kinda shitty all I'm saying, considering the weekly maintenance shutdowns every week since launch. I can handle all the other short comings since I just really enjoy playing this game, but now I can't even play the -blam!-ing thing.

      • BNG.... As people have said this has been going on since launch. I personally haven't had issues. Not till today after the "server maintenance" don't know what y'all did but you can add another person to your list of effected players. Of all times during Iron Banana too..... Please fix

      • Literally get to the tower and the sound keeps glitching then i can't interact with anyone then it crashes. Have reset, turned off the HDCP, changed all the sound options. Not just. How am i supposed to play. All these complaints going on deaf ears. Wtf.

      • -blam!- this weak ass game and it's servers. I paid over $100 just to play this game and what do we get? Kicked from the servers every 5 mins sincwbtye literal launch of the game?         Got my PS4 Pro back from Sony. They have said on record, that nothing was wrong with the unit, can't believe that, since other players can play with no problems at all. Game and system fully patched. I did get out of tower, did one public event and one mission outside of the tower. 1,5h, 4 game freezes. Each freeze equals manual reset of the console by pulling a power cord. This is madness. How dare you Sony, our units are probably flawed. How dare you Bungie for not making it right, if units are actually good. My patience is out. FIX IT and damn you!

      • This has been ongoing for almost a month now. In the past week or so, the crashes have become more frequent. Almost every time I try to load the farm or the tower (solo or in a fireteam), this game crashes with a "CE" error, requiring reboots and/or power cycling the hardware or else I CANNOT access these spaces. Accessing these areas is critical to game progression/reward. The fact that this is happening so frequently is detrimental to ALL aspects of the game, from the social elements (which you claim to be "passionate" about), to story, progression and expectation. This post from a month ago acknowledging it with NO followup, multiple hotfixes that do not address it (and may have made it worse - event frequency has increased), and no updates from you reek of a serious lack of diligence. What is happening and when will this be fixed?

          Working on the issue ? This thread was started on the 7th of September 2017 and today its the 5th of October and still the problem persists. I read all these other posts and I get to watch others streaming the game but me I cant even get my guardian past lvl 1 cause this stupid game doesnt work . Screw the frustration of not being able to play , what about having forked out the money on something that doesnt work and you cannot get a refund for . This will be the last game I purchase from Bungie/Activision your service is pathetic and your communication especially with regards to this issue does not exist , a simple update daily via this forum or any other form of social media would possibly help keep people believing you are interested in assisting but currently and I dont think I am the only one , I feel like you $%^&ers have my money and know i cant get a refund so you dont give a shit , so basically screw us you have what you want so why deliver a service to the people who bought your below par product. Each update brings hope at first and then you read the patch notes and its like a big digital middle finger to everyone who cant play .
