Where did the word 'Kell' come from?

Kells are the political leaders of the Fallen Houses, but have you ever wondered where we got the word 'Kell' from? It is not a word in the English language, nor is it an Eliksni word. As far as I know, the Eliksni have their own word for Kell, which is Ge.
Dra Ge means Kell of Kells, which directly translates to 'All Kell'. Skolas calls himself the Kell of Everything.
But if the Eliksni say Ge when refering to a Kell, why do we Guardians say Kell? Even Variks says Kell when he is talking to Guardians. We have English names for other Fallen ranks/positions like vandal, dreg, captain, etc. So why not the Fallen leaders? But when did we start calling the Fallen leaders 'Kells'? Where did the word come from? (apart from the fact that Bungie thought it sounded cool). Can someone please help me? • Maybe Ge is what other fallen call Kells but we can't use the word because that's racist.

      • When I think of "kell" I immediately think of the Book of Kells and the location in Ireland. The alternative linguistic origin seems interesting in regards to the word taking a leadership role in the common dialogue of the Destiny universe. "The settlement was originally known by the Irish name Ceannanas or Ceannanus, and it is suggested that the name 'Kells' developed from this. From the 12th century onward, the settlement was referred to in English and Anglo-Norman as Kenenus, Kenelles, Kenles, Kenlis, Kellis and finally Kells It has also been suggested that Kenlis and Kells come from an alternative Irish name, Ceann Lios, meaning "[the] head fort". Kells, Kenlis and Headfort all feature in the titles taken by the Taylor family"
