Why are there no taken dregs?
In the taken king most of the enmities we faced before we're taken most though not all enemies such as dregs ,cyclops servitors ,cursed thrall ,shanks but why not not because they're weak because oryx took enemies such as thrall I have no idea why anyone have any reasons?

The real question is why didn't oryx take Crota so that he can come back to life

And dregs are basically vandals but with their lower arms docked. Cyclops probably because you barely ever see them so what is the point of making a Taken one. [spoiler]Before you say anything the Vex are partially organic which is why they can be taken.[/spoiler]

7 RepliesEdited by Smedl: 2/17/2017 3:04:41 PMWhen oryx takes something, he makes them "perfect". A dreg is basically a fallen, low rank vandal who's had their arms docked. When oryx takes them he gives them their arms back and with new powers to boot. And boom, taken vandal.

Cursed thralls being taken would be somewhat redundant, honestly. What would we do to them to make them better but not cheap? As for Dregs, the only thing they want at that point are their arms back. They turn into Taken Vandals.

If you look in the TTK ViDoc you can see take dregs called Lurks.

Oryx can only take what is organic and has a soul, so no shanks, Servitors, and Cyclopes. Taking perfects, so dregs become vandals and legionnaires become phalanxes. Cursed thrall are meant to blow up, so why waste energy taking them? Also they probably just become taken thralls

2 RepliesOryx cant take robots without souls so that leaves out servitors and shanks, oryx may not choose dregs and legionaries as they are pretty useless. As the taken don't really need defences they don't need cyclops. but the real reason is bungie can not be bothered to reskin all the old enemies and give them new abilites
