Daito's origins are not widely known (even to some of its employees) but it is a manufacturer for the City, and currently continues to produce many products, despite being founded during the Golden Age. Daito currently only produces low-quality weapons (Uncommon-Rare). The one exception to this would be the Jade-Rabbit, an Exotic Scout Rifle. Daito is most known throughout the Tower however, for producing weapon accessories, or weapons not used by Guardians. (I.E. Ballistic Missiles, Turrets, Weapon Components, Common Ship Weapons, or other various weapons systems.) They also produce several standard technologies and equipment not related to weapons. Considering Daito is a widely popular weapons manufacturer known throughout the Tower, the Ravens, and several Titan Wall orders, it is not unreasonable that they may soon branch out into effective personal or handheld firearms (New Legendaries/Exotics). However, since I do not hold any Package Contracts with them, I have little contact with them. Banshee rarely deals with them either, only occasionally placing low-quality orders, but I believe he would be the first to know of any weapons from the company. I also suggest speaking with Amanda Holliday about any other information about Daito's alternate weapons productions. She would have the most knowledge, as she has many contracts with Daito to supply a large portion of the armaments she installs on ships...

Daito actually has a large amount of Common, Uncommon, and Rare weapons. There aren't any Legendary weapons that are confirmed as being made by Daito, but it's possible. I think the Broken Truth-LR1 from Dead Orbit is a Daito legendary. The way we can identify which weapons are Daito weapons are by their name scheme, and the Silvered Caracas-LR4 is the key. It's flavor text reads: [quote]A highly accurate Daito sniper rifle, earned through glory in the Crucible.[/quote] So we know this is definitively a Daito weapon. We can therefore hypothesize that any weapons with similar name schemes are Daito weapons as well: A name, followed by two letters and a number. It's much like Nadir I imagine. We had only phrases and a couple emblems or items that mentioned Nadir until Nemesis Star was introduced. They'll probably use an exotic or a quest as an opening to bring Daito in as a set manufacturer.

Given the nature of Jade Rabbit, Daito may relay on cannibalizing Golden Age material to create their weapons. It would at least explain why they are reusing the name of a Golden Age company.

Based off the design, I believe the jade rabbit was designed by daito. It looks as though on the side of the butt there is the logo.

We need more Nemesis Star designed weapons. Daito are the best!
