What Happened To White People In The Destiny Universe?
After seeing Shaxx is black, Saladin is black, Ikora's black, Cayde is exo, Zavala is voiced by a black guy, Eva's like hispanic, new monarchy is arabian, FWC is exo, Cryptarch is non white, Gun smith exo, Ive read eris is awoken, Speaker is voiced by a white guy but we dont know what he is.
Basically that leaves Amanda Holiday one white women
That leaves me with one question: WHERE DA WHITE MEN AT
Did white people flee earth? Did they die in a war? Before SJWs reply with the "Who cares" this is actually an interesting question that may have backstory to it in the future. Maybe the US and Europe were wiped out in a nuclear war or something. Where dey at?
EDIT I find it funny when people jump to the brainwashed reply of screaming "racism". My question Has nothing to do with being upset at this but more along the lines of "what happened to white people on earth". White people are currently in the real world at the forefronts of technology, advanced weaponry, space travel, etc. Thats what the game is about.If the current modern day trend continued and white people stayed ahead in those categories where are they? What happened there. Were most of them wiped in a war? Did they flee earth? Is Bungie just trying to be overly PC with the assignment of the races of main characters?

1 ReplyFrom the perspective of someone not from Earth, the "average" human would be an Asian person, black hair, with black or brown eyes. White people make up less than a quarter of the population. 4 RepliesLots of people died, they are part of the survivors. The voice actors are really good, and have created awesome characters. Who cares? Guardians wear helms in the wild as they combat the darkness. No one has time to give a poo about the color of their skin while Fallen, Taken, Cabal, Hive and other guardians in the Crucible are trying to blow your head off. Bringing any idea of race into a sci-fi-fantasy game with space magic, talking robots, and a giant God-ball magically protecting the last city on earth is horrifically short sighted. Or to upset the racists, I'll quote a protest chant: "Black, white, yellow, red / Copulate in a king sized bed" It could be that humanity transcended racism by selectively eliminating it through love and children.

It was said that the Golden Age eradicated a lot of old social ills and hatreds. Racial and religious being the most likely. Funny how whites think they're at the top of the innovation pyramid. Currently, white birthrate is far outnumbered by deathrate. The same can be said for the Japanese. So what happened? Simple. People in the future wised up and stop giving a crap about a fake social construct. Everyone was free to be with whomever they wanted. It wasn't even seen as interracial mingling. Race no longer exists. Humanity became stronger as a whole. Look up hybrid vigor. Class dismissed.

Lorewise, I would venture to assume that once most of Humanity was wiped out in the collapse & everyone came together they began to have children, and since being Caucasian isn't a dominant gene everyone became black/Light skinned/melanated in some way.

Werent the Awoken once humans who fled earth got stuck in the reef and evolved into the Awoken we know today? Thatd sort of make sense like Europe and the US collabed on a space program to get off of earth to try to evade the darkness
