Buying Destiny The Taken King Used

I already had a copy of Destiny for PS4 and wanted Destiny The Taken King. I bought a used version off of Craigslist for $40 thinking that I would actually be receiving Destiny The Taken King, however, realized that the disc that came with The Taken King was still just the original Destiny disc and that it came with redemption codes for The Taken King expansion. Of course, the codes were already used and said that they could no longer be redeemed in the PS store as the owner prior already redeemed them. Is there anything that can be done to override their codes and get these codes to work for me or am I just SOL $40 and now have TWO copies of just the original Destiny game? Seems pretty silly that The Taken King was just the original Destiny repackaged with redemption codes...

  • Expansions for Destiny will always be by download codes. And download codes will always be a one time use. Unfortunately the responsibility for this is between you and the seller, as it is not Bungies problem that you bought used codes from an individual and they will not give you replacement codes that were already used that you didn't originally pay for. You either need to take it up with the person you bought it from or buy TTK directly from the console which for the stand alone version is the only way. Or get a bundle physical or digital.
