AFTERGLOW WIRELESS HEADSET WONT BE RECOGNIZED BY MY XBOX ONE
So I bought an afterglow wireless headset for my Xbox one since I needed a new headset and it was wireless so I bought it. I got home and it worked fine for a month or two. Now just recently I tried to see if I could plug it into my laptop and see if I could use it to watch some anime. Turns out it works fine. Then later that day I went back to my Xbox and put in the wireless transmitter and usually when I take out the transmitter and put it back in something will pop up and say headset assigned. Now it won't do that and I can't hear anything through my headset accept myself. Everything is going through the TV. PLEASE HELP MEEE.
I WILL NEVER BUY AFTERGLOW PRODUCTS AGAIN. DO NOT BUY THEM

I've gone through 2 of the AG9+ wireless headsets and even rn as I'm typing this I'm having this problem , I got a pair for Christmas and they worked fine and my first pair even came with an aux option which is fine when I use them on my phone but not for gaming since you couldn't mute yourself, anyways I got the new one it messed up and then afterglow sent me two of the same kind (all for free) and at this point I'm very disappointed in the product and company. It come to a point where you realize afterglow products are a complete rip off.

1 ReplyAfterglow is amazing it's just that.... Your computer probably formatted your headsets software. If you don't know what that means get a USB drive plug it into your laptop copy and paste something onto it (does not matter what) then plug it into your Xbox and it wills say it needs to format it

1 ReplyIt's probably not the headset, the proprietary hardware for the Xbox one controller prevents pretty much everything from working, keep the headset and wait for the controller with a regular headphone jack and it'll solve all ur problems I'm sure.
