High value targets on venus...where r they?

2 years later, still hasn't been fixed. This is the 12th persistent problem I've seen from over 2 years ago. Yet people are still gonna buy destiny 2. Smh.

I did 3 of the skull and crossbones in Venus and didn't get one hvt

Dude I just did something random and it freaking worked. Okay so after going back and fourth and failing every time I decided to just untrack the quest. Amazingly enough the two next tries,which was all I needed, I got the HVT missions without failiure. I'm not sure if I just got pure lucky or if this is really a thing but I definitely suggest trying it.

4 RepliesActivate all mission beacons, then drop the missions. They will reset and give you the beacons with the stars. One will appear near the Vault of Glass Spires area. Afterwards head towards the Academy and 2 more should appear. Hope this helps

3 RepliesI could be wrong but I had a hard time finding the HVT missions too, I did start to notice that some of the beacons have a skull and crossbones on them, those are the ones with the HVT missions, the beacons that done have that I think are just regular patrols. I am not 100% certain about that though.

READ THIS if you go to Venus quickly check the areas especially the one that leads to the vex strike boss which usually has a high value target misson if not go to orbit wait a few seconds. Then go back and you should find one. You might have to keep doing this until you get your 3 done

Having the same issue here tonight. didnt know it was bugged as well, was only doing it for the legendary marks, Thanks Bungie i just wasted two hours on venus looking for these high valued targets, I did not experience a drop in the rate of the bounties (it was like every 3rd bounty) on all the other planets, just Venus, im guessing since i saved it for last. Guess all we can do is wait for bungie to fix it but itd be nice to have seen even a small mention of this being broken in their weekly news blasts on the Destiny app, as I use the app far more often than I use the main site. Major waste of time tonight -____-

When you first land go to the first area on the right. If they aren't there go back to orbit and try again. This was the fastest way to do it for me. Seems like they only spawn those missions in that area to the right. Also note that this quest line is currently bugged and you will not receive your legendary marks for completing it. I have posted this on the bugs forum and am going to repost it in the help forum later today. Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

[b]HVT Patrol Missions[/b] are beacons that have an emblem of a circle with a star in the middle. If you cannot find any of these beacons in the world, go to orbit, and try again (all beacons reset).

5 RepliesIt's just the VIP patrol missions from the green beacons. If you can't find one go to orbit and go back to Venus. The icon for them is like a star in a ball I believe

VIP missions have always been on the less common side of mission types. My advice is to continue to make a circuit around the patrol areas, picking up bounties as you go to clear the nodes and allow them to reset over time. Eventually the VIP patrols will spawn.

3 RepliesYet another Destiny -blam!- up I'm afraid, along with many other flaws in TTK. Hopefully Bungie is on it, but I'm in the same situation; my quest is at 2/3 high value targets for every single planet because Bungie -blam!-ed up the new patrol's random generator to make it less likely the closer u get to getting all 3 for each planet. Now literally all I see are the Kill bounties, the Collect bounties, and rarely a scout and scan bounty dotted here or there. I haven't seen a High Value bounty in days. I can spend 30 minutes going back and forth from orbit to scanning the entire map for ANYTHING, and come up empty handed. Seriously though, who the -blam!- handles the play testing at Bungie? I mean, ever since the original release (and INCLUDING the original release) its like every major update comes with a series of new and irritating development oversights.

Just keep looking, if you not find one go to patrol and starts again, took me while too.
