No I do not mean aim-down-sights. I constantly hear people calling the enemies in PvE ads, why do they call them that, and what does it stand for/mean?

additional enemies, but I just call em redbars or fodder

I just found out what this nonsense means today. I hear it used all of the time in Destiny. I never say adds. I say enemies. What's so hard about that?

Not ads adds ie additional enemy's ie not a boss

1 ReplyGlad someone else didn't know where this term came from either. Sometimes the jargon gets a little exhausting/stupid. I was running Crota, and the sword bearer signaled us to shoot rockets by saying, "DPS Crota!" Wtf? Doesn't that mean damage per second? Some of this shit just sounds weird.

Additional Spawns, Basicly enemies that spawn after the encounter begins, and usually keep respawning untill objective is completed. You might also hear them called "Trash Mobs" -

2 RepliesAdditional enemies, referring to the dudes who come in to help the boss of a given encounter.

Ads in relation to enemies are the weaklings that are around, typically in boss fights. Which is why you'll hear "ads incoming." Or "someone keep the ads off me I need to not blow myself up with this rocket."
