I came across Bungie's crest when I was reading the "Rebirth" section of their history.
It says:
NON FACETE NOBIS CALCITRARE VESTRVM PERINÆVM.
Having fairly limited understanding of Latin, I can only recognize a couple words. Does anyone know what this means and the story behind it?

Non facete nobis calcitrare vestrum perinæum is the Bungie corporate motto. Latin. Eng meaning: Don't make us kick your ass There you go :) AHHHH you -blam!-s beat me to it lol ^^^^^ [Edited on 10.27.2008 8:19 AM PDT]

Everyone beat me to it.
Don't make us kick your ass
"He with a BR shall beat he with an AR during a medium-ranged encounter."

Don't make us kick your ass.

"Non face noob, calcitrate vest is permanent" As far as i can tell
Posted by: reigndown NON FACETE NOBIS CALCITRARE VESTRVM PERINÆVM.
FACETE= Imperative plural "make" or "do". In this case "make". NON= Non+imperative = negative imperative i.e. "Do not make". NOBIS= Inclusive plural "us". CALCITRARE= "To kick" VESTRUM= "Your" PERINAEUM= "Rear" or "ass". The skin between the genitals and the "waste management system" is known in medical terms as the perineum.

It's on the bungie day XBG theme and I saw "nobis" so figured it wasn't real since that is so close to noob. I was going to post about it but lost interest. I'm glad it was cleared up though.

I think its closer to "Don't make us work hard to kick your ass". I learnt latin for a few years, but i'm not sure about the "kick" and the "ass", I put those in from context.
