I dont have many friends that play Halo Reach anymore but I would still like to try to get the LASO challenge. Do you guys think I should even attempt to get it Solo? I mean, im a decent Halo player, but I dont really try the LASO challenges because I have no Co-op partners. So, is it too hard by yourself? IDK, what do you guys think? If I dont have decent teammates, should I even try it?

I believe I read somewhere that the more players you have helping you, the difficulty increases by a certain percentage beyond the current difficulty. For example, if you played solo on legendary your enemies X amount of health, do X amount of damage, fire at a certain rate. But if you play co-op legendary then enemies have an extra 20% increase in health, damage, and fire faster. This all increases exponentially according to how many other players are with you. But the upside is you have a partner or partners to assist you. I tend to think that co-op is harder because of the increase of the mentioned attributes while you still do the same amt of damage, have the same amt of health, etc. But I still like to do co-op with a friend regardless of the change in difficulty. Note:I'm note entirely sure of the exact amount that the difficulty increases by, the 20% was just an estimate.

I do co-op by myself. I really hate the idea of dieing and starting all over. Maybe I'll do it one day but I doubt it. Anyway the only time this got really problematic is on tip of the spear. I had to switch controllers fast enough to not die on the falcon part. I'm pretty sure I got lucky when I passed it.

Definately co-op. Losing reverts you to previous checkpoint. Good luck. I've already done it. :)

Solo is the way to go. I find it easier to not have to rely on someone else to not screw up.
-
Can't you just get to the last checkpoint, then quit and save and resume?
-
solo, its so much easier.
-
Coop. Good luck.

I always like to try and give these a go at it solo first, except for The Package and Pillar of Autumn. I've managed to get WC and TotS done solo but had co-op help for the rest after lengthy tries doing it solo - until The Package. You can probably do it so long as you either (1) Do the Save and Quit repeating method a lot (especially once you get to defending Halsey's Lab) or (2) follow Tyrant's Mythic Guide almost to the letter. A friend and I had two randoms last night and none of them wanted to try the Wraith jacking so it made things really tough. I tried but never could get the gunner destroyed without getting nailed by the main Wraith cannon. I think I was doing something wrong ;)

Honestly I did it myself yesterday and at first I tried doing it by myself, I got past the first area with the two shades and two ghosts and all the grunts. Then I got into the tank and everything was smooth until I came across the stupid Fuel Rod turrets. It took me at least 40 minutes to get there and then I died so I was demoralized, got two of my friends and did the entire thing in about 2 hours. I highly recommend getting a friend at least, because there are a lot of choke points. When you get into the ONI Sword Base you have to fight off elites, and then a General. Before you get into the sword base there's a cluster of covenant. After you're done with the sword base you have to defend Halsey's Lab and that in itself took an hour and a half with 3 people. :)Good luck!

Go solo, and if all fail just keep saving and quiting.
-
I think coop is the better choice just because if you do screw up and die your not punished by restart the whole level over.

well you could give it a chance but 2 or more people would prevent the entire mission from starting over.
