What happened to all the other continents and their cities during the collapse? What do they look like now, are there guardians inhabitating these places?

1 ReplyFallen were too scared to visit parts of Mexico.

Everywhere other than the City are Dead Zones. Inhabited by Fallen and now also the Red Legion They’re all in ruins just like in he EDZ and we send the occasional scouts there, again just like with the EDZ There are probably still small human towns and maybe even wandering Guardians out in those locations, but l will say once again that this is the same with the areas of Earth we’ve already gotten information on

North Korea's button wasn't big enough breh.

2 RepliesEdited by CheshireGrin92: 12/31/2017 8:31:10 PMIn Destiny 1 we get mentions of “the great North American empire” from the cryptarch they also mention “one of our hunters found this near Hong Kong.” So clearly we have guardians scouting out Asia at the very least. Another mention is that “Manhattan nuclear zone.” Which is probably a radioactive area after the collapse.

1 ReplyTh Graviton Lance talks about "Old Chicago"

7 RepliesEdited by Varyen9464: 12/30/2017 11:29:55 PMXander 99-40 qoutes "Re-upping bounty, Taken infestation, New York crater." "Retrieval mission, Manhattan nuclear zone." Though Chicago is currently a swamp. There was or is a city in India that was mentioned somewhere but forget the name. London was burned by the fallon devils.

The collapse only happened in old Russia, America is still going strong… Except for Seattle… It sunk into the ocean from the money in Bungie’s pockets.

It really begs the question, who in habits the city? In the tower at points you can see English, what I believe is Spanish, and Chinese. Yet, we can speak to failsafe even though her ship was of Russian construction, so logically she would speak Russian. And where is the city located? I think it is somewhere in Eastern Europe. But that's just a guess.

1 ReplyEdited by HELP1NG HAND: 1/3/2018 6:22:00 AMUnfortunately, its only more of the same. Ruined wasteland and overgrowing wilderness taking back the empty skeletons of ancient cities. However, the only large concentration of humans - both Guardians and regular folks is now the Last City (and the Farm to a lesser extent). Hunters roam the wilds, and in the past members of the Pilgrim Guard Titan order (and before them, the Takanome Rangers) safeguarded refugees on their paths to the Traveler. At this time in the game however, refugees have all made it to the Last City beneath the Traveler, died in the attempt, or were wiped out when the Red War kicked off. Now, almost no humans survive anywhere on Earth outside of the Tower; the only exceptions being guardians, rare scouts like Devrim Kay, and rarer stubborn holdouts like Hawthorne. The House of Devils ruled much of Earth for good period of time immediately after the collapse, it wasn't until their ranks were all but wiped out after bearing the brunt of the Last City's war machine that other forces like the Hive and the House of Kings began to push into the area. The Future War Cult is a group that predates the collapse and your best chance of finding answers lies with a closer inspection of their Lore. Lakshmi-2 stated that she was present when the Devils burned London to the ground, other pieces of lore and hints of the pre-Collapse Western Hemisphere may also be floating around in their gear, dialog, or quest steps. Best of Luck to you bro!

1 ReplyNorth Korea? President trump blew them up in 2021.
-
2 RepliesEven the darkness knows to stay clear of North Korea
-
2 RepliesI’m not sure how likely it would be to go to those places. For example, Xander said in Destiny 1 that New York and Manhattan were nuclear zones and a giant crater. I don’t think exploring a giant crater is fun for gameplay. Might do well in story though Asia as a whole I am unsure on

2 RepliesEdited by Newlord: 12/30/2017 11:49:28 PMAmerica is a nuclear wasteland, India and most of Asia were destroyed by fallen, and Korea is unknown.

Mexico is still intact the darkness couldn't get past the wall.

3 RepliesWhat is funny is that we can't visit a nuclear wasteland from hundreds of years ago but we can go hang out on the Beach in Mercury lol Oh well I won't nit pick Bungie on this one :)

They sunk into the ocean and their inhabitants were eaten by sharks

The Earth orbit gives some interesting views of green miasma all over the Earth's surface. It's rather thought provoking.

1 ReplyThey don't exist. In 2018 Trump declared American to now a state of Russia.
-
11 RepliesAlso, where exactly IS the last city???

1 ReplyJust from the story & quotes from characters there should be atleast half a dozen places we havent seen (on Earth). That doesnt mean we will ever see them though. It'll probably be a trip to Enchelada or some moon & be done with it untill the next DLC.
