Why can't we put Shaders on Exotic Weapons?
I know we've got ornaments, but there are some that just look bad, with and without the Ornament because of the color schemes. Clearly, the exotics can be affected by shaders, as you can preview them through the shader area (under inventory), with mixed results, so why can't we use them?
Sweet Business with ornament and a Dead Orbit shader looks pretty good.
EDIT: Having shaders work doesn't make ornaments useless. You have ornaments to change the model and/or patterns, while the shaders change the colors.

And it' s worse because when you preview the a shader on your whole character, the exotic weapon has it applied to it as well.

I personally would love being able to use shaders on Exotic Weapons. C'mon we can on armour so why not weapons. Ornaments are fine, but there's not enough to choose from plus they drop as infrequently as the weapons do.

You know what will be good for shaders, besides that they shouldn't be a consumable, they should have effects on certain ones. For example, having a black and green one that glows or having one that sparks, etc. This should make shaders more recognisable. Also I agree that Bungie should at least have a few shaders for the exotic guns, I can't believe that Bungie hasn't done that. Ps, I haven't got D2 yet, still waiting for the release on PC so I don't know a lot about the shaders and other problems, I only read the forms.

4 RepliesI didn't know they changed colors when previewing the shaders. That's actually really interesting. I hope we can put shaders on them at some point in the future. I'd love to have Prospector with Golden Trace.
