Does anybody else feel that you're limited to just an auto rifle when you run the Vault of Glass?
I have ran the raid a few times now and every time I've tried to use a different primary I feel like I keep being shoehorned into an auto rifle. I prefer hand cannons but the reload speed always seems to be an issue, pulse rifles don't hit hard enough and scout rifles are just okay. Is this an issue you feel needs to be addressed?

My A1 scout is a beast against the Vex. 1 well placed shot causes chaos

I've always used a scout rifle in raid even before my confluence was fully upgraded. I like the last word up until the gatekeepers too. Auto rifle for oracles during Atheon tho

In my group we're 2 with vision of confluence. 2 with an AR. And two with handguns (hawkmoon and last word). And we've cleared hard mode. So nope you didn't need an AR.

I use Vision of Confluence scout or Vex Mythoclast.. tried my last word and got shat on by the preatorions

Just got my oracle perk for confluence. Was always using epilogue. But I got the sniper all 3 slot are raid guns now.

Me and my buddies did last weekend for the first time I don't know what they were using, but I know that my best freind ( which is a hunter) was using bad seed down and ice breaker. And I was using the strangers rifle and the calming.

fatekiller and vision of confluence both wreck in raid when fully upgraded. It depends on lvl to if your above or match the lvl of the enemy's you can really use anything you want, being lower then the enemy's you should use what can be the most effective with fast reload.

Use my hawkmoon during every battle but the oricles than I use vision

Epilogue is useful but I prefer the last word or vision of confluence.

Hell no !!! used one but definitely not the only choice but all up to the person playing. I prefer HC but not been lucky with drops haha ;p

Lately I've been running Vision of Confluence/IceBreaker, although I'll switch it up with The Last Word/Praedyth's Revenge - while using Chain of Woe for fast reload on my Hunter. It's all personal preference. Switch to Gjallahorn for final boss encounter :-)

I feel limited to Vision of Confluence. I'm hoping for an Epilogue drop so I can change things up.

I use the legendary Super Pox VLO pulse fully maxed and it has a very high impact. It owns the oracles in 3-4 trigger pulls. I also switch back to a legendary scout rifle The Aries Nemesis X4 (maxed out) for hobbies (hobgoblins) and goblins, and use my Ice Breaker to deal boss damage as well as a my void Unfriendly Giant.

Everything is usable in PVE but assault rifles rule in PVP. Though,I do think suros is way too op for PVP.

Hand cannons are nice so are scout rifles I haven't tried a pulse yet but I'm sure it would do fine. Its all about the wielder in all game types

I use vision of confluence all the way through its better than any auto rifle. Trust me I have all of the best ones

Hunters chain of woes with a hand cannon on the VOG is just well EPIC. Really it's only strength as a hunter is to kill weak enemies REALLY FAST.

Reload speeds are not an issue when you kill everything with a few shots.

It's the exact opposite for me, I tried to use one but it did crap damage so I switched from that to pulse rifles, followed by scouts, and now I use the LAST word. Couldn't imagine taking an ar to a raid I actually want to beat. Hand cannons are the master race even with crappy reloading speed.

Depends how I feel at the time really. I have a Shadow Price (RNG engram not bought) that has 40+ round mags and third eye. It's fun and easy to use plus it's upgrades are useful. If I'm not using that, I'll use my The Devil You Know (another engram drop) which is great for precision kills and therefor my Hunter skills.
