So am I the only one that didn't buy the Ice-Breaker?
I just don't see the point in it, sure it explodes enemies but really what are the chances you're going to kill anyone else with the explosion, I don't want the regenerating ammo either, sorry but I can walk. If I'm going to use anything that regens ammo it's going to be the Invective. Plus the fact my Suros Regime is going to be out pretty much 24/7

And I really hope anyone who uses snipers in PvP should have their copy of Destiny taken away and smashed.

Where we actually have to line up a shot and take the time and (pun not intended) patience to kill those from a distance (or up close how I use them) and your not ranting on shotgun runners who just sprint and pull the trigger in a direction and some points and a kill show up for them? I have the patience and time. I have icebreaker. I use final boss. It doesn't matter what I use. Some people have the steady hand and skill to use snipers as the lethal weapon they were intended to be, and others simply don't. Anyway, yeah you should have gotten that gun because it packs some of the highest impact on a sniper which means devastating critical hits on, ohhhh I don't know, a raid boss or something... But hey what do I know.

4 отв.Have fun using the invective on bosses. The icebreaker is second to none in damage (with the exception to the supremacy and the black hammer, both very elusive). With juggler, you might run out of ammo, but with the icebreaker you can keep tormenting enemies and get your ammo back without problems. You might have a had time using a shotgun with the lightswitch modifier on. Also, I've never heard of people complain about snipers in pvp, always shotguns, fusion rifles and the Suros. Interesting.

If you've never used it then you wouldn't understand, and that explosion kills quite often actually and its not about not having to go get ammo.its about not having to waste ammo and also I hope that anyone that uses shotguns in pvp be forced to burn there copy of destiny [spoiler]I'm kidding, IDC what you use [/spoiler]

7 отв.Ice breaker has always been a PVE sniper. Sometimes, juggler modifier is on and there's no ammo...what do you do? use your invective on the boss? Snipers in PVP is effective if you're good with it. It is also spectacular in control and some of the bigger maps. If you want to run around with invective, that is your prerogative. I'm sure you've faced a team that know what they're doing and your invective becomes instantly useless. Additionally, invective impact is not high enough to kill from range...maxed found verdict will own you every time. SUROS = gun of yesterday. Most auto rifles do the same job just with less precision. I don't see many people using it anymore. Try thorn, TLW...kills in 2-3 shots. Vision of confluence, 3 head shots. Long range fusions destroys auto. Ice breaker = good in PVE...I guess if you don't raid and stuff, it really isn't that useful. But it was the highest damaging sniper in the game until black hammer in crota's end.

5 отв.Bro I've had it since the 3rd week . It is BY FAR the MOST Clutch gun in the entire game. Whenever you are in a jam and can't progress , equip Icebreaker . It's like putting a cheat code in , Bam! You are now shooting your way out of said jam. No exaggeration , it is the most valuable , efficient gun out there . It's regen is different than Invective , it's more easy to work around , Constant regeneration . Many MANY situations WILL pop up where walking as u say (trotting is what it reminds me of) for any special ammo is an extreme thing that you want to avoid unless repeating the respawn is desirable for the whole fireteam . CLUTCH , bro , clutch . Like a freakin cheat code . If it ever pops up again , or you happen to be lucky and get it like I did , try it out a bit . Just let it linger there in your equipped inventory . When u get at that jam , pull it out , use it , keep it , like it , reuse it ~ love it . You'll thank me one day . If you ever do get it/try/love it ~ let me know... Good luck

My friend never bought it, and has been crying ever since. The IB is one of the only exotics that is as good as you want from the very start. Not many people care for the "Ice Breaker" effect. It's not as good as a normal Firefly upgrade. But it has the regenerating ammo, and it's massive damage right from the start. Park up on a cliff, and just destroy the field at your leisure. One of the top 3 exotics in the game(pre TDB).

I didn't buy it, and I wish I did when I had the chance. I run pve though, I get frustrated in the crucible, on account of me getting disconnected 95% of the time.

Plus Vanquisher & better yet , Shadow Price were clones of Suros minus stability/range anyway . Easier to adapt at the slight difference and open back up that E slot .

Think about it. Sniper... regeneration ammo... you can stay far away.. ice breaker deals massive damage. Shotgun... you are up close anyways, regenerating ammo useless...

3 отв.Изменено (Zoop): 12/16/2014 2:03:04 PMIts a shit sniper for pvp, too much range (yes, too much, it zooms too far), and the recoil is ridiculous. Its only up-side is the regen ammo, and that really should not be a problem in pvp, enough ammo laying around. In PvE tho, its a monster. The explosions can wipe out entire groups with a single shot. The regen ammo is very useful (juggler), and allows camping/cheezing. Its damage output when crittin is nothing to sneeze at either. And finally, if you swap back and forth with the ice breaker and another special weapon, you can regen ammo for them too. Ooh and i love sniping in the crucible, no way im gonna get in range for shotguns and fusion rifles, ill take you out from a distance ;)
