We don't know yet, but I would assume it would be required for PS4, though not necessarily for PS3. We shall have to wait and see if they release the info at E3.

I assume you're talking PS4 version, if so yeah you do, tho the game is most likely gonna be balanced so ya can solo most content, you still technically connect online.
