But I do want the world to respect my choices, especially the choices I make about what I do in my spare time. If I do something that in no way harms others, nor prevents me from being a contributing member of society, then there should be no problem. That's about as much as I care though. I don't care what other people think of my clothes or the music I enjoy. I'd love to discuss politics or money with others, and would be happy to hear what they think of my views. The way I see it is that we are all just as insignificant as the next person, and by realizing this, I am able to make everyone important and crucial in the existence of humanity. This is something I've started to realize over the years, especially as of recently. Individuals tend to believe that their point of view is the only point of view in all of time, which is not true at all. They almost see it as if everyone is laughing at them, when it should be that we are all laughing with them. A community, if you will, instead of an individual in a society of unlinked minds. Your opinions are unique and special to you, which is important in the grand scheme of things. But that doesn't change the fact that your opinion is one in a billion - 7 billion actually - and that means you've got to respect what others think. So in the end, you should both care, and not care. Take to heart what they say, and when you speak, remember that they already have a thought of their own too. That's what I think, at least.

It depends on the situation. If they think I'm a sociopath for the right reasons, I should do something. If they think that way for the wrong reasons, they can go -blam!- themselves.

No, most people on this planet are idiotic. If I care about them and they actually know me then yes; I have a handful of friends and that is it. I would rather have them then a bunch of pretenders, cough high school.

12 отв.People who I care about? Yes, I care a great deal what they think of me. People who I don't know? I may still care, but only marginally. I certainly don't actively seek the approval of strangers, but I try not to do things that would harm them.
