Left 4 Dead question
A buddy of mine brought the first Left 4 Dead over the other day so I could try it out. We ran through a level or two in co-op and really wasn't impressed because there didn't seem to be any story to it at all. Aside from survive the zombie hordes.
What I was wondering is the single player the same way? Is it just the run from one safe house to the next or is there an actual story to the single player?

L4D had a connection with payday the heist (takes place about an hour before apocalypse starts)

Left 4 Dead's story is more in the background like TF2's story. There are comics and a story line you follow however.

There is no story. But the encounter and reward design is completely dynamic. Also, play Versus with a few more people: up there with Rock Band/Guitar Hero and Halo as some of the finest multiplayer of the generation.

Its just a zombie survival game. In L4D2 there's more of a story in it.

Single player, is multiplayer. They're the same thing, just one has 3 AI.

Not much of a story but you get some great one liners between the voice actors and the occasional backstory hint in the dialogue. Left4dead is best played with a full group of players and the chaos that ensues trying to work together to reach safety.

It's not a game about story. The main draw is great co op gameplay, mod tools, and pvp(versus).

8 отв.The story consists of a group of survivors running from safe house to safe house, supposedly with the end of the game reaching a hive of people where they can finally be safe. So in short- don't play L4D for the story. Play it for the game. The gameplay is very fun.
