I jokingly said something about black people (in a joke thread) and got banned for 5 days.

Seems kinda silly when their are other people that say flat out "Christians are stupid." I mean would you have been banned if it was an Asian joke or if I said Asians are ugly? Hell no. Jewish jokes run rampant on the flood about money grubbing and big noses. Yet no one gets banned for it.

What you're describing is a bias in the pool of people submitting reports, not a failing of the moderators. If you think that other stuff is offensive, you should report it. I'd wager you haven't done so, or if you have, you do so rarely. Think of it like this. In your circle of friends, you have a "line" that people don't cross. It is the unspoken rule that you don't cross that line. This forum is designed such that the community, via the report system, gets to choose a lot about that line for this social group. Complaining in the forum doesn't work because the moderators aren't the problem.

In my circle of friends, and family, we dont have that line per se, only time it exists is when children are around.
