I'm not usually elitist, but...
If you can't do the activity, you don't deserve loot from that activity. I worked my butt off to get Adepts from GMs and trials, and Xur is just gonna sell them now. what was the point of working for them?
What's next? Is Xur gonna sell raid loot?

I used to have a mindset sorta similar to this, until I realized that nobody cares. It's prestigious to have that "(Adept)" tag on a weapon, but prestige only has value if people recognize it. Otherwise it's just a trophy to yourself, in which case you don't need to explain or justify it's value. Whenever I see that tag on a weapon, I feel like the person must know what they're doing. Maybe even a "this person might be good", and then I immediately forget they ever existed. What's the point of wanting respect from random players who'll forget you after the activity? Let me reword that, what's the point of wanting respect from the average, random Destiny 2 player? You know your struggles and hardships to earn what you got. You can share your tale with friends and the people who matter to you. Even if others end up getting a trophy that looks like yours, you know the story behind your own. The only real loss is the adept tag will be less able to speak for itself, but I think people overestimate just how impactful its words actually are.

I find this amazing - it tells more of the kind of person you are to be bothered by something like this... Do you think you are special because you can do an activity on Destiny 2? It's so base and petty... no wonder I don't want to bother with these activities when they come out...playing with these types of people is the worst ...

Plus adepts will get phased out over time as people earn T5 loot. I see it as a w since players can get endgame ready quicker which allows for more people playing.

It's kind of a big -whatever- tbh. I'd be surprised if most folks even had three NF Adepts in their normal arsenal of gear they regularly use when there's always alternatives for the next best thing. I missed out on Lotus Eater week so I'll be waiting with baited breath should it show up in old squid-boy's coffers.

I thought adepts were useless anyways now with the new system? Seems like all Xur will have is the old stuff that won't get the seasonal bonus.

Don't be cruel most of those ppl don't have arms or legs they are blind in one eye have "communication issues" they are also partially deaf and have about 17 kids that they barely see because they work 23 hrs a day 7 1/2 days a week. The cruelty of the op!!

They said he has a small chance of selling legacy adepts And it will be even a smaller chance of being a decent roll I grinded for Adepts also, but they are useless now, because everyone will require new guns in LFG, so IDGAF, because they will do 15% more damage than the junk in our vaults So why are you so bothered Xur will be selling Adept garbage ?, Bungie has always disrespected thier dedicated players time,like catching everyone up to pinnacle every update, for not even playing, so don't know why this bothers you It's not like they are giving away Tier 5 loot, which is the new elitists standard

I grinded faction rallies in 2017 for shaders and ornaments and now they are free to all. My point is that they have done this before. 😔
