Read it, and some other thoughts about it and have thunk(thought, for you grammar peeps) about it a fair bit.
I think that they, the dev team, probably fixed the issue.
I also think that they, having waited until there was totally overwhelming evidence collected by the players, says that they did not see this themselves.
Which makes me think they're not playing their own game. They are not vested enough in the game to actually play what they create. Which would explain a ton. Why they never saw the issue with drops, and why they created the crappy crafting system for tonics. The poor story missions, any every other thing that is so bad no one in their right minds would do it.

1 ответConsidering the basis of the problem was the initial setup they implemented in Forsaken, it was a deliberate skewing of results that only became undeniable when they made another slant with the newer gear. They doubled down and their laziness caught up with them. Cause when he says sparing one tech upsets development yet all it took was a single script to find it? The only reason is ego or intentional. And given how this isn’t the first cheat system they’ve had and denied until it was proven? Why the heck do they deserve the benefit of the doubt?

5 отв.It's much simpler than that. They are lying. It's always existed and has always been intentional.

2 отв.Изменено (nonchalantone): 12/1/2024 7:34:45 AMI think this is false. (Respectfully) I feel they did this purposely. When they got rid of crafting they needed a way to keep players grinding even more. It's obvious this wasn't a "mistake". This was on purpose. And got caught. So what happens if people just left it alone and didn't investigate? Even one of their beloved Community Managers came out and made it seem like people were lying. Not once did he retract his statement.

I think you are wrong on this. I think it was totally on purpose and only sorry came after they were found out. I also think they will just change the way the slots are rigged until it is found out how the new system is rigged. Vegas is vegas and gaming has been modeled around that for years now.

4 отв.Said it before I'll say it game bungie are just buying time until marathon theve already written destiny of its just Milk until not needed than put it on basic server support whilst they push more to marathon.

1 ответHow could a coder not know this was happening? I refuse to play the fool. They knew full well.

8 отв.Изменено (SNAFU_BOHICA): 11/29/2024 8:39:49 PMWell I think they are weighting down the iron banner sidearm to be honest at least rolls with chill clip on it. I like to see the team run there algorithm on it to see if it’s still happening cuz I haven’t seen 1 in over 20 drops

Bungie ditched their slogan, "we make games we want to play," a long time ago. So yeh, it would make sense that they aren't playing their game like they used to do during the Halo years.

Kiro-13 - ‘…failed leadership and a refusal to listen to player feedback…’ Me: add in a large helping of hubris, and the (anti-player / ‘woke’) culture within BHQ… …and Dev snootiness, viz ‘you people don’t tell us Devs anything ‘cause we’re Devs and we know stuff, and you plebs just get back on the hamster wheel and mind your own beeswax…’ Obviously, I paraphrase 🙄 IMHO: I think this issue caught them off guard…until the Community noise was too loud to ignore, and they were probably quite surprised to see there was an issue that needed sorting. Their response was swift and reasonable. The free weapons drops were good, too…except for non-Raiders / Dungeon bods, like me, who missed out on two of them…🫤 No problemo! 😁 The Dev feedback article was an interesting read…though a lot of the technical stuff was a bit beyond this old tortoise’s pay grade. 🤔 My 2d worth: the spaghetti code / wheezing steam engine / so many moving parts - all held together with sticky tape and string, not to mention P2P wonkiness, didn’t help matters either. And added to the aforementioned, a much-reduced workforce, a crumbling game architecture with a new glitch every other day; and a player base that’s withering on the vine; and BHQs own internal issues with Sony et al… 🤔 That’s a lot to deal with. 🙄 As I’ve stated previously: D2 needs to be put on life support mode…and open the loot floodgates; whilst D3 is announced as a WiP, where everything is upgraded and future-proofed to the max….etc…etc. Build it and they will c0me. 👈 I think reasonable Guardians will understand…the bigger picture… Ease Springs! 🫡

People probably shouldn't assume all of that due to them not seeing a perk weighting issue that someone would have generally had to no life the game to notice on their own. It's cool the way it was fixed and that they were able to come up with a solution relatively easily and being able to get a glimpse of the processes they use to figure these things out was fun to read.

1 ответИзменено (Kiro - 13): 11/29/2024 7:44:43 PMAfter I read it I was given the overwhelming feeling they did not care about player feed back calling out the issue, citing "priorities and tradeoffs" & " building the future of Destiny" took precedence. Additionally acknowledging they saw the feed back about a potential problem with perk weighting but choose not to take a deeper look made it even worse. To all you that wish to defend Bungie saying it was a complex issue, it is not... If you actually played the game the way Bungie intended(hours on hours of grinding), you would notice right away that some perk combinations were more prevalent then others. I'd delete the response Bungie gave if I were them. As it paints a very negative picture, that of failed leadership and refusal to listen to player feedback.

8 отв.You didn't read it well enough. They gave us reasons as to why it wasn't found sooner. Ranging from it being beneficial to players when the traits lined up and yeah, most weapons people cared about since crafting launch are crafted weapons. If they're focusing on updating armor to have different stat values and set perks, they probably aren't looking to make sure that, oh yeah, prng is working today. It took substantial evidence (less than a week) for bungie to respond, and I can't blame them with the amount of schizophrenic crap the community can complain about. But, we have now started to set a standard, when the next major issue happens, we should repeat our previous work towards weight gate.
