Symmetry is seriously a great gun. I think any buffs will push it into game breaking. If it’s going to have jolt, it should only be at max.

Rn the alt fire takes a lot to activate and I found it tends to struggle against anything above red bar. Most other alt fire weapons can easily pump out the same damage an entire revolution will while needing much less. The GL mode from Quicksilver deals like 80K against red bars and 40K against champions while Revolution did about 28K against reds and about 14K against champions. This also makes Touch better since Touch is like 10K per a shot with the perk active.

At max it’s pretty much impossible to miss, does decent damage and is fast firing. It’s not hard to get 20 headshots either. Currently it’s a great gun, not the best by any means but it’s one of those guns that is well balanced as is, any buff to it now will make it too strong - especially in PvP.

Talkin pve here I don't know how it is in pvp. "Decent damage" it's damage is okay in the alt mode if you have 20 stacks but is still out classed massively as I mentioned Touch basically matches the alt fire mode, the rpm is actually a downside since the low damage of the base mode means it takes way too long to kill most red bars this might be fine in pvp where most weapons kill at a similar speed but in pve lightweight scouts take like 2.5x more time to kill a single red bar than most weapons. The 20 crits is easy (About 1 unshielded enemy will get you what you need in endgame) but you also gotta remember in endgame content like gms most enemies have a shield and this weapon is basically useless against shields without revolution x20 active and it can't gain any till the shield is down. Also the "fast firing" is only present during the base mode with a 260 rpm which drops to about 120 or so which is quite heavy on the things dps. It's also on the lower range of scouts I believe it hits about 45 meters which isn't much further than a high range pulse or hand cannon. Less important but still having low range and low damage hurts the thing a lot. Polaris and Touch have similar issues but make up for it with basically infinite ammo and high damage thanks to Touch's 120% bonus and Polaris ignition+Scorch and the +100% every 4th shot. Plus we know DMT is getting its rpm brought back up and this time without the damage penalty (In pve anyways) and that thing was actually quite powerful in pve for the like 1 single month before it got the initial rpm nerf. There's also Wicked Implement which shares damage issues but it can stunlock any unshielded enemies including champions in fact my team once died during a strike and there ghosts were unreachable so I had to go solo for like a quarter of the strike and it was only thanks to Wicked's stunlocking that I could get past the champions. The only scouts I'd pick it over are Jade, Mida, and MAYBE Skyburner but Skyburner with ember of torches causes a lot of ignitions and the scorch is extremely strong and if you're against cabal it gets a pretty big boost to damage. And this was just me talking scouts there are plenty of exotics to pick that'd do way better than Symmetry such as Quicksilver

As I’ve already said, it’s not the best but any buffs will take it from a well balanced gun to being broken. Balance in this game is a tricky thing since you aren’t tuning a gun in isolation, you have to consider all of the potential builds. If you gave symmetry jolt then the right build would turn it into a game breaking gun. If you buffed it’s range, you’d make MIDA obsolete.
