Why do all Hunters
Use stompies?
Cause we get new exotics that

Y'all keep begging for stompies nerfs cause you can't look up cause you're in an awful position and don't know how to read your radar. Or your sensitivity is too low. When we all switch to Gemini and take it away entirely or leave every primary fight early with Worm Husk, you remember how you behaved cause the YouTubers got y'all all stirred up.
Ask for new maps. Ask for exotics that will entice us to move off them, or a better intrinsic jump for the mobility class so they don't feel like a requirement. Cause begging for them to be nerfed or redone is going to make a worse Destiny when we can only look forward to exotics that work for 11 seconds out of the game lol.... You want to see cheese? You want to see broken crutches. You .7s keep whining till they relent and change them.
Hunter's strength doesn't come from some pair of boots. But it can.
Edit: I'm aware the new exotic is meant to encourage people to allow Hunters into endgame PvE outside of artifact mods. This was to elicit a response for the ones crying for nerfs without seeing the big picture.

2 отв.Dude shut up. I’d rather hunters crutch stompees rather than Gemini gestures. I hate hunter who use ggs. Stompees is a personal utility exotic and it hurts no one. Having Gemini gestures literally take my radar and blind me every two seconds is terrible. Keep using stompees. They’re perfect the way they are. Don’t ever say this again lol. I’m kidding … but not really. All the stompee mains will start using Gemini gestures if they nerf stompees. I’d rather deal with a hunter who can’t stop jumping versus one who blinds you before they feel confident enough to engage. Seeing as they can’t win without that. I hate Gemini’s can’t you tell?

6 отв.[b]All Hunters[/b] don't use St0mp33's. There are other exotics that 1)aren't ugly and 2)are plenty capable of causing more butthurt than St0mp33's. To name a few: Graviton Forfeit, Foetracer, Wormhusk Crown, Liars Handshake, Oathkeepers, Dragons Shadow, 6th Coyote, Raiden Flux, Fr0st33's, Orpheus Rigs, Gemini Jesters and Bombardiers. Keep on crying for nerfs... it'll bite you in the butt. We all know that Lion Ramparts and Transverse Steps are in the same realm as St0mp33's - all of y'all whiners are just going to get all three nerfed. ✌️

Hunter jump is already the most evasive, instantaneous, directional jump in the game. Not sure what else you want there. The fact you don't already know that is...telling, to say the least. The [i]only[/i] justification for Stompees is the fact that both other classes can outrun it otherwise, especially with the other movement exotics. Nothing feels worse than popping an otherwise well-timed super for a Warlock to fly away at Mach 1. But even then, Stompees literally cost [i]nothing[/i] for the benefits they add. And they add more benefits than any other exotic in the game, even compared to the other movements exotics. They enhance [i]every aspect[/i] of the already most evasive class, which neither Transversives or Dunemarchers do for the other classes. You must be [i]vastly underestimating[/i] the in-game benefits of Stompees to even say the things you did. With Stompees you can: 1. Bounce your head for insane momentum 2. Slide further 3. Jump higher 4. Have exaggerated directional veritcal jumps and in air evasiveness 5. Have exaggerated directional jumps across the xy-plane to let you close and create gaps faster than anyone else 6. Move faster in general All with [i]zero[/i] cost. FREE benefits to the most important movement aspects in the game, which Hunter ALREADY EXCELS at, is ridiculous. And I've been on the train for a Stompees rework for years. Long before some YouTube dude came alone. Asking them to cost a dodge cooldown or something really isn't all the much to ask. Heck. If they "ramped up" with rapid kills or had a fat cooldown or something I'd say make them stronger. Don't care at that point. That right there is cost, risk, and reward. And before you get on the "but Dunemarchers and Transversive" nonsense, they do not enhance the already most evasive and directional class, and they do have a requirement for their benefits outside of a sprint speed increase, whereas Stompees do not. Adding this edit here cause people seem to have all the same responses. Did I say I wanted them destroyed so nobody used them? No. Did I say I want Hunters to be slow? No. I just think the base Hunter kit is very strong, and enhancing all of that for free isn't logical. I even said to make Stompees benefits BETTER if it meant there was some sort of cost. And for the rest of you that say Stompees are the only ones keeping powerful exotics like Wormhusk or Bakris at bay, that's nothing more than a testament to how powerful Stompees are, considering how good the base Hunter kit is already. And if you can't make the base Hunter kit work without Stompees, that is a YOU problem. It has very clear strengths within its neutral game. Now I got out of town work for the next couple days, so y'all have a good one.

2 отв.People don't know what they have coming if stompees get nerfed. Top/bottom tree invis/jesters/wormhusk/graviton. This is the most annoying way to play hunter and nerfing stompees will push a lot of us towards this playstyle. I mean I can already dominate with graviton, I just don't use it because it feels cheap and people don't even get a chance to react.

They don't restrict you to play a specific subclass nor do they have any downtime. Look at it this way. Both Titans and Warlocks depend on their shields, rifts and healing capacities for sustain in a firefight. Hunters don't get that. They need to rely on their mobility to duck, dodge and dive in and out of cover in a firefight. That's also why exotics like Wormhusk show up quite a bit. I've been delving into Omnioculus for sustain in higher tier content which also nets me a free revive and carry to safety since I get 2 smoke bombs and damage resist, but mobility's the name of the game for any Hunter.

1 ответI only use the stompers in pve for long distance jumping I’m terrible with jumping somehow I always fall short So I use stompers as a way to compensate my complete lack of jumping skills As for pvp there is really no need there’s more useful exotics to run

Seriously, saying "hey dont hate us for using stompies, they're just the easiest, all-around any-build exotic that doesn't require any effort or buildcrafting at all to use" is pathetic.

3 отв.Because they are busted. bringing out an exotic that's better than stompies to draw people away from using them just creates a new even worse monster. Which is why they must be hard nerfed and then people will start using other things. Can't believe liars handshake doesn't work on all subclass's though, shouldn't just be arc.

5 отв.You can defend a crutch all you want it really doesnt matter. The exotic is way too good and thats why bungie have already stated they will nerf it. There are plenty of other good hunter exotics that are Grossly underused because of how strong stompees are.

Neutrality within the exotics are the reason most players cater to a specific exotic especially if it is good. I mean look at Vesper of Radius. It is a neutral exotic but it is hot garbage. I have always been on board with removing the mobility exotics and putting the perks inside the internal mobility of the classes themselves.

I usually use that silly invisible helmet thing. Although if you did check my account now my Hunter does have st0mpees on, but I assure you it’s a one off as I switched to Arcstrider last game. No reason, just bored.

6 отв.In defense of the new exotic, it could have more to it. When I saw the trailer for Beyond Light’s exotics, I thought Athrys was absolutely going to be trash. Now I main them and they’re my favorite exotic. Could be a similar situation to that. I have hope.

Meanwhile I am the weirdo using either Athrys's Embrace or Mask of Bakris, my strats are situational and fail about half the time...this is why I usually main my Titan.

Hunters are the #1 class to get into and out of a fight because of pure speed regardless of their exotic of choice. I don’t see hunters anything more than tricksters that are reliant on their abilities to win and flee fights, with often one trick each player does over and over. This is a downvote lmao *edit this is referring to titans and warlocks too

The base jump sucks thats why. Even if the sprint and slide increase gets removed, I’d still use them. I think bungie should nerf stompees by removing the slide buff and then increasing the base jump by ~40% of what the stompee jump is. This way i can finally take off stompees.
