I'm on PlayStation, always been, before crossplay I had NO PROBLEM finding a survival game, it literally took seconds.
Now, if I turn crossplay off, so I can play just PlayStation players it takes FOREVER to find a game, and sometimes it doesn't even find one!!
I don't want to play Xbox players, the lag if very very noticeable. And yes, there is lag, play on 120hz mode and you notice it immediately, I can call when a player is on Xbox without looking at the roster, I hardly ever miss.
I hope there is a solution.
There’s no issue with lag for cross play.
You’re choosing to be in a smaller player pool, so it isn’t surprising that you aren’t finding people.

but honestly, i had not issue finding a match a few weeks ago.

Just because you turn cross play off why would that put you in a smaller pool? There are still a ton of PlayStation players out there. So why now does it affect us? Like he stated above there were no issues before.

You play with other crossplay off people
Just because you turn cross play off why would that put you in a smaller pool? There are still a ton of PlayStation players out there. So why now does it affect us? It would make more sense to still be able to play the same console even if they had cross play on
-
It would make more sense to still be able to play the same console even if they had cross play on
Then you would also have to have crossplay on. You can’t be in the crossplay pool if you don’t have crossplay on. That wouldn’t make any sense.

Its actually very simple, basic groups theory. There are 2 groups, 1 with xbox consoles in it, other with PS. If you choose crossplay the system looks for any player in either group, if you turn it off, it just looks in the group from your console only. And since there are a lot more PS consoles, finding games shouldn't be a problem. And yes, there are a lot of phantom bullets when shooting in crossplay, ask around.

If you choose to not play with crossplay, you deal with the smaller player pool. No, there’s no visible difference between connection quality with crossplay on.
-
They invented a crossplay pool. If the kept the console pools as they were and simply pick from both pools for crossplay and from one pool for no cross there would be no matchmaking problems. There were NONE before crossplay was a thing so it shouldn't be a problem now. It is a problem because of the way they implemented it. And ask around about cross play lag.
There were NONE before crossplay was a thing
This is news to me.

It isn’t going to be added. If you don’t like having a smaller pool of players, then crossplay on otherwise quite whining about it. I don’t need to ask around. I’m playing the same game. There is no measurable or visible difference between connection quality.

You clearly don't play comp. Its ok, maybe your mom doesn't like to see you crying. And Ill stop wasting my time trying to explain simple algebra to you, you clearly don't have the knowledge to grasp basic concepts. Have a nice day.
Looks like others agree with mr, read up
This place is an echo chamber. It doesn’t mean that there’s a measurable or viable difference between connection quality. No amount of crying will change that.

Many don't realize if could be their own internet. I had to fix some settings in my router and ever since, I've barely had any issues with Connection. Y
Many don't realize if could be their own internet. I had to fix some settings in my router and ever since, I've barely had any issues with Connection. Y
I don’t have that many issues and when I do, the platform the enemy of has no relation to them lagging. I see just as many Xbox players lagging as I do PlayStation. There’s no observable connection issues caused by crossplay.
-
Yea, I agree. I'm just adding on what could be causing the issue for some people. The echo chamber here just doesn't understand and wanna blame crossplay.
Yea, I agree. I'm just adding on what could be causing the issue for some people. Makes sense.

No problems have been added due to crossplay. The connection has always been the same. As stated before, check your router settings. You may need tweak your NAT type or set some bandwidth limiters to fix the issue. Its not gonna fix everything but it does help alot. This place just echoes everything bad, even when its not really an issue. People have complained about Crossplay in everygame since it started becoming mainstream with Fortnite.

Im 53, ive been playing online games since 1990, I played Bungie games since Pathways into Darkness. I've played CoD since CoD 1 in 2003. And so many online games I cant even list them all Trust me I know a weird connection when I see it. It changes A LOT when I play vs Xbox players. not always I must say, but when it does its really agravating.
