I love only the people defending him have played for 83 days on PC and never touched D1 😂

4500 hours. I defend Luke Smith because most people haven't a clue what he really said, don't know what he's contributed to the game over the years, and don't have the faintest clue what it takes to make a video game. I don't defend his every idea because I don't agree with his every idea. You obviously don't agree with him. So what exactly are his ideas, what is the basis for them, why is he wrong, and how would you do it better? Do you really think you understand Destiny better than a professional whose been working on it 10 years? Actually, I bet you do. Silly, really.

future of the game partner. That is money walking in the door. Most of us who are old time players don't make them enough money to matter. We will be sunset sooner or later and not missed.

I’ve played since D1 release and I’m glad this is happening game is boring as hell because it’s all the same crap over and over again. How often do you pick middle tree storm caller over top or bottom?....I’ll wait...
-
-
Urm, awks, everytime I play gambit, hunted forest, or strikes for boss melts, its always surprisingly good in pvp as an arc super shutdown... Still waiting?

Изменено (Gemini Trash): 12/19/2020 12:18:15 AMYou fail to recognize why that is. Pre-forsaken tickle figers was great at add clearing and only suffering in the boss DPS department. Which mind you players gave feedback on. Post- Forsaken Stormcaller caught a PvE NERF in tandem with a PvP BUFF. bungie attempted to cement tickle fingers as a PvP super, and failed, following this they nerfed it in PvP later too. Chaos Reach does add clear and boss DPS. Why do you think it makes sense for Bungie to make 1 perform well and not the other?
-
Who cares, out with the old in with the new. Common sense
-
People also say variety is the spice of life, there's a reason these subclass skill trees failed, and that's because they removed Player choice. You think it makes sense to make the mistake twice?
-
True and honestly I don’t care, it’s a game, new supers sound good to me over the old boring ones that we’ve had since D1
-
Изменено (Gemini Trash): 12/19/2020 12:16:25 AMWell consider this, Luke isn't necessarily worried about what's popular. His goal is to define classes separately as well. I see you like your Titan, so consider this. In the interview Luke specifically said he felt Titans were more balanced before TheTakenKing dropped having no Roaming Supers. In other words, under Luke Smith's vision your Titan may only have ThunderCrash, Bubble and a revised one and done super for both Hammers and Stasis
-
No he didn't. He said that the classes were more differentiated. He thinks if the classes were more different there would be more reasons to play all three. He also said it was a fantasy and they had no plans to do anything in the foreseeable future. Much ado about nothing.
-
Then that’s what it is, It’s a video game I like titan if they got rid of it then I would find something else I liked. It’s only entertainment not my life, you know? Oh and the taken king days, what fun that was.
-
Again before TTK dropped. You can support or "not care" about whatever you want bud, but if Bungie keeps going against the Player base, this game will die out well before it's intended to end. Bungie lost players over sunsetting, they lose players over their lack of balance direction, and they will lose players removing supers. You should recognize that this game barely breaks 1Mil players on average and it's a free to play game. Fortnite has over 5 Mil average and in my opinion is a worse game. What they have on Bungie is a studio that doesn't constantly cross their players. Bungie is small because they choose to alienate the audience they already have. It's a mistake
-
Over supers? Nah. Over subclasses? Probs
-
No I don't think the players lost over losing a set of super would kill Destiny. My point is to the direction. Everything big that's happened in Destiny as of late has been considered a negative. Having things like this continue while each event is hemorrhaging players each time. That game will suffer for it
-
That’s just it. It’s not even happening. I’ve read the articles. All the misconstrued propagation and conjecture is pure clickbait by content creators looking for more ad revenue around the holidays. We’ve been calling for a subclass overhaul and more customization since the original “branch” system was revealed in beta. It would be a good thing for players to have more agency over their builds. But it’s not even happening rn. Or in the near-ish future. It’s taking them how many seasons to implement transmog? This is all bs manufactured hype and the ppl “reporting” on it should have done their due diligence before presenting it to the lemmings. I’m not defending Bungie or LS, because there’s nothing here to defend. It’s all bullshit
-
Bungie started talking about Loot Retirement and February and in just a few months it's already here full swing. Adjustments like this don't appear to take all that long to implement
-
Thought we were talking about the whole “super” kerfuffle
-
I am, it was announced this week so realistically it could be 8-11 months out if they're truely committed. If they aren't committed then players should let them know we don't want to lose supers, just add modular subclasses
-
Where was it announced? I must have missed it
-
Not definitively, but that's doesn't change much. Bungie affiliates, especially the Director of the game saying that he has plans to do a thing in game normally means it's not just been looked into, but possibly is already being worked on
-
Like I said, I read those articles and laughed at the first post taking Polygon as a reliable source. Even then, that’s not what I got out of reading them. This is all BS hype. That’s all I’m saying. Especially assuming that there’s gonna be one super per “element” on the sole basis that stasis has only one now. Which it was def stated there’s gonna be more just for stasis. Which means the assumption that the “light” classes are being neutered down to one is ridiculous.
-
Well no Luke actually stated in the interview that he wanted it only keep IP defining supers. Luke out right sad for modular Light classes they'd have to pick 1 super to center it on. Straight away he said he'd delete Nova Warp in Favor of Nova Bomb because nobody like Nova Warp. Which honestly isn't the case, Nova Wrap just needs work because it's not really viable
