5 отв.Someone hasn't played a certain 5 of the 6 CoD games since 2013. Or a solid like 20 other games I can name, several also being large AAA titles. Im sorry but as someone who is a skilled Halo player, above average CoD player, above average Destiny player, and pretty decent Siege player amongst other games I have to say this game's PvP is a solid top ten and will continue to be even in some of its worst moments. Why? The PvP always has a new experience to offer because this isn't a traditional FPS game. Because of the gear system and subclasses and target audience this game attracts you can fairly easily find new experiences in normal PvP modes. I recently found that my friend who plays Overwatch as their main game who occasionally dabbles in D2 has not only a completely different mindset than easily 80-90% of the playerbase but excels at reading a situation extremely fast, more so than even what you'd see from your average CoD player. While their aim may not be there I can almost guarantee most of their plays are smart and well informed which allows them to out perform even when they do miss a ton of shots or are at an outright skill disadvantage. I don't see these kind of developments often in any other games other than Halo and Destiny. Even Halo 5 you can catch this stuff because of Halo's core design elements that have still been somewhat maintained by 343. If there's one thing Bungie is top of the line at its making the PvP in a manner that keeps you constantly learning 24/7 and ever adapting based on player mentality rather than sandbox design alone. Say high rpm pulse rifles are the worst thing in the game at the time but everyone is trying to use slow firing scouts and being passive. High rpm pulse could still melt that to shreds the easiest even if its the worst thing statically if the overall player mentality counters said passive play. While this can be argued for many games and you will see it elsewhere, especially Siege it's still quite prevalent in Destiny. I may only be 18 but still take it from the person who's been playing games generally his whole life of all genres, not just FPS. This PvP while still not what it should be still is a shining example of how to do things right in the industry compared to a great deal of games. I think Destiny's continued popularity even after everything thats happened over six years is more than enough to attest to this.

Disagree. Does it need improvement. Yes but i love pvp.

The majority of your posts are complaining about the game... That's not healthy

1 ответI love how he says
PVP in this game is the absolute worst i have ever played.
while he keeps playing pvp.

1 ответИзменено (TD1380): 10/5/2020 4:01:08 PMIt’s amazing to me the range in skill from one match to the next. I can have a 30-40 kill game with a massive KD, then immediately have a 7 kill, .8 KD match. Sometimes I feel like I can’t miss, other times I couldn’t hit the broadside of a barn. It’s like I don’t know how some people even move the way that they do. I’m a pretty solid player. Not great, but solid. Seems odd that I go from crucible god to potato so frequently.

3 отв.There's a real easy way to have a better time in pvp that might make your time easier ....
GIT GUD
P2P cannot be good, by definition.
Junk
Yes sir.

1 ответAgreed, the movement and the weapon mechanics are sweet. However that is about it. So tired of being shit shot through a wall or one shot by a hand cannon across the map. And God forbid you take the invis and shotguns from Hunters. Christ they would never get a single kill. And then what is the excuse for extremly unbalanced matchmaking. I have paid good money over the years for this content. Being told not to take PVP seriously or its just a fun side game doesnt suite me. There could be some alterations that would make things so much better. Im not looking to win every time but i am looking to be competative more that 25% of the time because i got saddled with a lesser skilled team.

8 отв.It’d be a lot more fun if 99% of players weren’t constantly rushing with shotguns.
-
You haven't played many PvP games then. Gunplay and mechanics in Destiny are still far superior to most games out there.
-
Needs to dump the p2p BS.

3 отв.Might be better to offer some criticism, then add why you think it’s junk, followed by a way to possibly fix it. For instance, I agree with your statement. It is junk and I hate Destiny 2 PvP. It is junk because of the balancing issues it has and I’d suggest making it its own sandbox. With a progression system kind of like COD with weapons and such. Allow us to take the weapons we earn into PvE. That way the team has total control over the Sandbox and it has no bearing whatsoever on the other Sandbox. But Alas, ‘it’s not possible.

3 отв.I have no problem with mechanics or weapons or supers, etc, etc, etc. I think a lot of it is just brilliant. I just want to play against and with players who are at, or around, my skill level. It’s supposed to be a game. I actually play quite a lot (before I get called a casual who should get better), I should be able to enjoy it casually or seriously depending on how much time I want to play. And the worst part is, it’s possible. I’ve just ventured into Iron Banner and first games were blowouts. I also got dropped late into one game just before it was mercied. Then they “break up these teams to find a better match”. WTF does that mean? It doesn’t actually mean “find a better” match, it’s just “another” match and it’s total pot luck (or is it?) if it’s any good or another blowout. It’s no secret you tubers don’t like SBMM, they wouldn’t be able to swap load outs and still get 50 kills if they had to take on players of a similar skill level. I hear the argument “you’ll only get better if you play against better players”. I don’t want to get better, I want to have fun. If I fancy a game of chess I’ll play one of my equally rubbish mates not look up Gary Kasparov. All the guys who use that argument are hypocrites anyway because all they want to do is trash a load of average joe’s every game.

Can relate

ye destiny pvp is a massive joke

Lol bungie pvp And blizzards competitive rank system Combined to make people cry

At least you are making it fun for the other team 👍

5 отв.Bungie, can you really improve your server performance? Worst PvP server and experience in market! Bungie, you engineers really need to improve your server performance, especially for PVP games. With same network setup we play all other PVP games in the market very smoothly, , such as Warzone, CODs, Battlefields, but D2 PVP server performance is so bad, always delay the user input action; after a kill, it delayed 1 or 2 seconds to hear or show the result on screen; in game music/sound even break sometimes by the delay, not even can mention when many fancy super or effect on the screen, how broken experiences it is... It's a good game with great graphic design. But not sure how your team can bear with this kind of user experiences, especially when users paid for season pass! I created a poll, hope they will notice the serious performance issue.

2 отв.I'm a decent player and I say ignore the ignorant trolls down below. The pvp in this game is actually a shitshow.

1 ответ
Junk
You tell them, a man of little words, but so true😁

7 отв.Destiny make one of the best pvp games on console... no other pvp game has what destiny has, the movement the gun play the random rolled weapons, different classes and the supers. Say what u will but it’s actually one of the best...
-
1 ответPvP is fine. Ppl taking it way to seriously are the biggest problem. The game is supposed to be about a fun PvE power fantasy with PvP as a side thing to keep you busy. It works best as that.
-
7 отв.I've played worse. The real issue is people taking it seriously. From the "pro streamers" to the "below average Johnny no thumbs". People take this game....or any video game....waaaaaaaaaaaaaay to serious.

Maybe ya gotta spice it up a bit? Play a little outside your comfort zone. A friend of mine nudged me into playing Titan again after playing Warlock for so long and I honestly had a lot of fun with the change of class. Ran Code of the Missile with Dunemarchers and Monte Carlo. Easily the most fun I've ever had in pvp in a long time especially in Iron Banner.

Изменено (Griever): 10/5/2020 6:13:16 AMBetter than halo 1-3 (old games aside). At least you don't get spawn killed with your back to the enemy for +80% of your deaths, bullet speeds/ hit registration/ bullet magnetism aren't so bad that you have to lead the target at point blank with a shotgun, at least red crosshairs actually mean something, and 3 shots to the head with a 3 shot kill weapon actually kill in 3 shots consistently unlike CE. At least this game is based more on skill than who can exploit flaws in the game that let them melee, reload, and shoot significantly faster than intended like H2. Don't have to lead your shots at close range either with weapons that IRL fire projectiles that fly faster than sound, especially when the game is taking place +500 years from now. Bullet speeds and hit registration are worse in H3, fixed to an extent, but still have to lead your shots at what should be hitscan ranges. MCC port may have been worse in those regards because somehow faster frame rates translates to slower projectile speeds (which is bs considering how PC seems to not have those problems), and at least when you hit someone directly with a high explosive in Destiny, they die. I have a clip of people surviving 8 direct hits from a tank in H3, about half should've resulted in a double kill. This is after their so called "fix" recently. I'll take Destiny 2 PVP over beyond inconsistent games with spawns as bad as rocket launchers are in D2 raids, cheaters they tell "have fun" because they want to "preserve the original experience", and games with hit registration so bad that people will survive multiple guaranteed OHKs in a row and laugh it off as they pummel you out of a tank (imagine surviving 8 Celestial GG shots in a row without any additional armor, shields, or anything of the sort). At least when I shoot people in D2, they die like they're supposed to, provided I hit my shots. Edit: Besides, if you're saying this game's PVP is bad because of how people play, it wouldn't make a difference either way. Why do I say this? I've been called out for "crutching a pulse" after getting 30 or 40 some kills in a match with Outbreak after finally finishing the catalyst. Three problems with that though. 1. How often does anyone use Outbreak? 2. How often does anyone use a pulse that's not a high impact frame? 3. Pretty sure none of the exotic pulse rifles are ranked in the top 50 for most used in any playlist.
