Disclaimer : This post is going off the assumption that the power resurrecting old foes won’t be killed in the campaign ,but left as the final raid boss, like the TTK campaign
Been watching the ViDoc a few times because I’ve been trying to piece together what’s going on with the story
The developers continuously use the phrase “What makes a guardian afraid” and it got me thinking of things that can actually shake the players playing the game
Big ugly monsters don’t really scare us with their visual appearance as we fight pretty ugly and horrifying creatures 500 times before breakfast each day ,Then a developer used the term “Psychological horror” and that got me thinking
What if the big bad we fight isn’t a scary evil monster resurrected to kill us ,But an old ,comedic friend whose been turned to the dark
What if this Darkness that’s been redirecting former foes of ours resurrects an old ally with evil intent ,to truely striking us in the fearing section,Unless something restricts them as former allies all have the light ,But then I saw 3 ghoulish humanoid figures floating above Crota
I believe these figures are old members of Eris Morns fireteam ,as the internet has speculated ,meaning what if the darkness resurrected an old fireteam member of ours ?
Cayde-6
Being pitted against our most favoured ally where we waged war on Uldren just so we could act out revenged on his death ,only to have him return and be the one thing standing in our way at the very end of the campaign ,Is absolutely brilliant and horrific at the same time
Edit : Considering the Likes to Actual upvotes tallied it would appear that a lot of people throughly dislike this idea

Honestly, if that’s gonna happen. I don’t think I would kill cayde if he turns out to be the final boss. I would let him kill me and I would be stuck their forever
-
Got it! We fight Cayde-7, who is the rebooted/repaired Cayde-6 created by Uldren, who although is a guardian, sneaks into the towers morgue, steals Cayde's body, and turns him into a monster. This is assuming that Uldrens curse doesn't wear off, and so he has to do it in a short time period.
-
1 ответIt would be even worse if he managed to retain some humanity and instead of attacking us he just sorta sat there in pain and we had to put him out of his misery or if we just saw glimpses of him in the shadows
-
Well I think the gaurdian should either go to like nightmares of what would happen if they failed like if gaul won if croat lived i think alternate timelines explored would be pretty cool cause I think a gaurdian would fear that if he never did what he did
-
3 отв.No, that will be D3 when the Darkness takes the Traveler, converts it and starts rezzing Dark Guardians, then having to fight your old friends.
-
My god... It'd be Infamous 2 all over again.
-
Considering nokris is a necromancer and cayde permored a ascendant ritual on a artichoke, that's for real, anything's possible.

Put a bowl of spicy ramen on a Vex teleporter and wait behind a rock

9 отв."What makes gaurdians afraid" Rahool in D1 year 1. Turning purple engrams into blue's. They could make a rated age 20+ horror movie out of that.
-
4 отв."favourite Ally" I would curb stomp cayde in a heartbeat
-
I honestly would just kill him again. A friend is dead, buried, and avenged. Anyone trying to bring him back is just going to draw my attention further with me killing him.
-
Good, so we can kill him again. Pog

15 отв.I would enjoy a lot killing Cayde myself. He was annoying as fuk...

2 отв.Throwing out the possibility that those were the Iron Lords from the end of the RoI campaign the ones that got infected with siva? ...or probably just Eris' fireteam...lol

Recorded by Underscribe Shipal Thus did the Shadow of Earth slay Cayde-7. Then a visitor approached the throne of the Joyous Emperor and proffered himself before the Generous Host. He was Cayde-7, whose origins are recounted in MCXXXVII. ^ Cayde-7 knelt at the Emperor's feet, and kissed his boots, saying: "Your truest servant is here." And the Emperor was pleased, for he thought that this one would make a very fine Shadow. But the true Shadow of Earth, jealous of the Emperor's love, cut down Cayde-7 where he stood in the Emperor's throne room, and then dealt with his ruins in such a way as to ensure that there would never be a Cayde-8. The Emperor was pleased, and that night there was a great feast aboard the Leviathan. ^ A note to Underscribe Shipal: Entry MCXXXVII appears to be missing. Please reattach it to this account, and delete this footnote upon rectifying this erro

Honestly, in terms of the final boss, I don’t think we’ll beat it in either the raid or the campaign. I feel like the final boss is too big for a campaign ended, but the raid being in the black garden makes me think it won’t be there either. What I’m really hoping is for the final boss to be in the new dungeon, and the raid to kinda be unrelated

I’d be so happy to shoot him!

3 отв.It's Rahool. He has been there from the start. He has limited our access to more powerful technology more than once. He was caught converting legendary engrams into rare items years ago and not too far in the past he released an unusual amount of edge transits to replace better weapons. The things we find in the wild are always better because Rahool and his cryptarchs have been weakening our gear. He grows in power as we kill with the intent of gaining engrams that only he can unencrypt. Millions have been sacrificed to him in caves across the solar system. Soon he will be powerful enough to reveal his true nature. As I speak he is outfitting his armies with the powerful gear that he has cheated us out of.

Then....
He would be the Shadowkeep campaign final boss
Изменено (RPColten): 6/14/2019 11:43:16 PMFlipping Jimmy Neutron brain blast right here: Cayde-6, with a developing Director AI design where he stalks the raid fireteam from start to finish, ala Alien style from Alien: Isolation. Can't be killed, can only be stunned with select items (Light only maybe?), and the wielder of the raid relic is the only one that can detect him on radar. He wouldn't be the big bad raid boss, but instead would fit well into the various designs established. It would be Hunter-esque with the stalking, the physiological thriller aspect of a looming threat that is always there, and it taps into a community 'sore-spot' I guess? It's hit or miss on that last one. Plus they could get Nathan Fillion back to do a bit of voice-over since allegedly he wasn't completely onboard with Cayde being killed off in Forsaken. Allegedly

So he could die all over again? O...okay..
-
With all the shit that is going on I wouldn’t put it past bungie to pull a shit stunt like this🤨
-
I predicted this as I watched the Shadowkeep reveal stream, it would certainly be a cool fight.
