Not gonna lie Bungie, I'm very disappointed in Eververse.
POST NEW LIGHT/SHADOW KEEP EDIT: Alright Bungie. I understand why you're doing this. But we need to talk about pricing. The pricing of items purchasable only through Silver sucks. Please keep the perspective that there are some of us that would love to support this game further, but we're already over $300 invested in the game so far. Buying silver and supporting the game shouldn't require that I talk to my wife and get permission before purchasing something.
TL;DR: Changes to Eververse armor are shockingly worse than how loot box Eververse was. You can no longer get all Eververse armor across three classes for free. Outright buying all of the Eververse armor costs $35, which costs MORE THAN THE ANNUAL PASS.
I was very excited by the announcement of the Eververse overhaul. I love that we're moving away from gambling mechanic based cosmetic rewards. I was surprised and ecstatic at the announcement that we would be able to use both silver AND bright dust.

I guess that last part was really only a half truth, though.
You have pushed out 56 items that can only be purchased with silver.
You have 14 items available for purchase with bright dust at a time, 11 really in my opinion, since boons are a waste of bright dust.
Apparently, Eververse armor is no longer the armor slot for each class and is now just the single piece (warlock head slot this week). Effectively it will take 3 times as long to get Eververse armor for free.
Purchasing Eververse armor outright now requires $20 WORTH OF SILVER if you have not already purchased silver for your first character, and will require $35 WORTH OF SILVER at a minimum to purchase across all three characters.
Let's go back to the concept of getting Eververse armor for free. In previous seasons, it was not too hard to get multiple roles since it only took 5 weeks to rotate through armor for ALL characters. Now, assuming that we get no repeats on armor, it will take 15 weeks to get every piece of Eververse armor for free. Assuming that a season lasts the normal 91 days, that gives us 13 weeks of SoO. YOU CANNOT GET ALL OF THE ARMOR FROM EVERVERSE FOR FREE.
I'm honestly so disappointed. You insist on only refreshing Eververse armor seasonally instead of refreshing all of the major tower vendors. Now we can't access the seasonal refreshes through gameplay. I am very disappointed in this change Bungie.

I'm not sure why anybody cares about eververse, I've never spent a penny on that stuff, if you don't like it ignore it, no game changers at eververse , couldn't care less, if people want to spend money on the stuff let them

Doesnt anyone like that the gambling mechanic taken out? Your not forced to spend money on silver either because it doesn't affect gameplay. I personally like the new system since I can directly purchase what I want.

Jesus Christ, you guys are acting like a Bungie is trying to bankrupt you for charging $5 for a cosmetic item. I honestly prefer this method, you know exactly what you’re getting, no more hoping and wishing, it’s just there. Direct purchases in the long run would save you money (if you buy silver that is.) instead of gambling for it and wasting $5-$10 bucks on useless ships and shaders. Not trying to say Bungie is in the right here, I still hate micro transactions and would much rather all of these items to be in game loot you can earn, but I guess they’re still banking on us to pay their light bills.

I’m not sure how I feel about the micro transactions side of it but I do think it’s wrong to prioritize armor and skins in eververse when they have yet to update any faction vendors or planetary vendors.

2 отв.It costs something like $179 to get everything 🤣😂🤣 they've gone insane, it looks exactly like fortnites store now so tacky and money grabbing. All this stuff should be in game for free. I rarely and I mean rarely buy silver but for me now, I never will. Awful practice that this game should not do.

I got 25,000 dust. I can probably afford to buy most of that stuff as it slowly rolls out. I also have silver just sitting there, so maybe i'll buy something if something tickles my fancy. I think its fine. I feel like people that dont like it, dont buy stuff. If too many dont like it, they will change it. If it sells, Bungie will keep it as is.

Only difference is that it doesn't drop in engrams. However, that's not going to be an issue for me, as the only piece I liked for the Warlock was the helmet. Eververse armor seems meh this season.

The only item I don’t have from the year one engram is the salty emote, so it’s literally just Bright Dust Fodder. Nothing exciting about some new cosmetic anymore. Here I was scared that this new engram was a new silver purchase, which I wouldn’t have minded, but it’s our seasonal engram? The -blam!-?

Since this change to D2. D2 is going to be like Elders Scrolls online, Tera, or any other game that you buy armor for it won't be long before they add weapons, they should've kept it the same.

For people that dont, you can pay. Personally, as Ive said in another post, Im just tired of in game stores in general..

i completely agree...we used to have the options of getting engrams every time we filled the xp bar and we could get this seasons items...now for the people who have literally all the shit from the first 6 seasons all engrams will be shit we already have...basically the have it set up so u HAVE TO SPEND SILVER to get this seasons stuff...the year one engrams are bascally just gonna be for dismatling for bright dust now...smfh...should of known the would set up eververse the way it was in d1 where u virtually have to pay for damn near everything...-blam!- u bungie

16 отв.This is why I don't mind purchasable stuff in Warframe or Monster Hunter World. For one, Warframe is free, and the other being the fact that neither shove it in my face every half second like Bungie likes to. The more you push it on someone, the less likely they are to buy it. I'll never buy anything from Eververse for real money, but I'll sure as hell buy all the cosmetic nonsense in Iceborne this September purely out of spite. Push it on me, I'll support the people who don't aggressively shove their rackety coin cup in my face. The old store was at least more minimal about it, now it's BLATANT AND LOUD. BUY SILVER, BUY THIS, BUY THAT. If those incessant ads on TV, Youtube, or wherever else don't work on me, neither will this little nonsense. I'm not spending ten bucks for a skin. That's absurd. Bungie and whomever buys this shit have no concept of how things compare in cost. I'm not going to spend money on one little item when that same amount is worth an entire season of content. That's not even subjective, that's stupidity.

Bungie, you got no room to mess around with this...quit...make this right...fast. I like the chalice idea and Menagerie is descent 👍. Overall, your losing me though. I feel ground the heck out.
