Whether you're a hard core or casual, we all agree competitive could be better. I believe that the new sniper requiring a [b]total[/b] of 3500 points is an awesome idea. It allows everyone to be able to obtain it. With that being said, these are thoughts I've had that I think would be awesome. Any positive feedback is encouraged.
1. From season 7 onward, a [b]total[/b] of points should be used to unlock the weapon instead of obtaining fabled.
2. For reaching legend, there would be a new pinnacle available. For example, the revoker after 3500 [b]total[/b] points and at 5500 you unlock "the ___". Perks would be identical, but give it a different appearance like Luna and NF looked different. Again, appearance only. For revoker, specifically, bungie could have legend offer an inverse perk. For example " precision kills return one round to reserves after a short period of time" and possibly give the ability to switch between snapshot and quick draw or short gaze and ambush. Giving a more individual adjustable weapon for reaching legend without making it over powered.
3. Competitive armor sets with the chance of enhanced perks. Instead of making new armor every season, simply add an ornament to be unlocked via triumphs. It would add longevity, and renew every season. Also come up with seasonal ornaments or shaders for hitting each rank bracket. Fabled, mythic, legend, etc.
4. Address match making, some people don't enjoy the sweat and we get it. Utilize the ELO system to create brackets for matching, then prioritize connection. That, or implement a Halo 2 style of match making. It worked extremely well.
5. Address quitters. It's no mistake if you back out, as it's a 2 part thing. Seasonal bans for those who back out with consistency would probably cure this.
6. Open the MIDA catalyst to everyoneas a reward after 250-500 comp wins. It's outlaw.... On a gun that already reloads fast.. no big deal.
7. Add other weapons, armor, shaders, ghosts, ships, sparrows, and ornaments.
8. Bring back trials. With 3v3 elim, adepts, armor, ornaments, shaders, emblems, seasonal updates, etc.
9. Reduction of all roaming supers damage resistance, or buffing of all 72 rpm high impact snipers to give the ability to 1 shot kill with a precision shot.

** Edit:. I am trying to make this as enticing to the casual side, while still remaining rewarding to the hard core side. Offering a " fabled " pinnacle after a total of 3500 points isn't bad, as long as there is something else at legend to grind for. I am not preaching for ease of the playlist, just for a happy medium for both sides.

I got the steps for Mountaintop all done because I want to use it in PvE. And it's up there with one of the best PvE weapons, its down right insane for pve. Bungo though, wants me now to reach Fable in comp which Ive been trying to do this season and its elo hell plus (LoW) meta. I feel like I could rip my arm off and eat it. The sad part is I hate GN in PvP that suck dog crap in PvP. I wont even equip it once for PvP if I get it. My point comp sucks and so is getting fable rank for so many good weapons.

4 отв.To me, pinnacle weapon grind should be more about mastering that weapon. I think it would be way better if we got a green sniper and kept upgrading it in crucible. It would all be based on weapon xp. Assists reward a low amount of xp, kills a little more, precision kills more, and shutting down a super or getting multikills with the weapon earn the most. Once you have the legendary version you need to get some amount of kills to unlock the masterwork and special perk. “Pinnacle” could refer to your experience with the gun. It’s the culmination of the work you’ve put into the weapon. It doesn’t have to mean that you’ve reached some arbitrary point level in crucible. Let’s face it, it makes no sense that we consider the pinnacle of pvp to be somewhere in the middle of comp. rank. Zero sense at all.

It serves no purpose... People who are good at PvP go into comp at the start of a season get the rewards and then spend the rest of the season stomping in quick play thanks to the terrible match making or lack there off.... What the game needs is two things [b]1.[/b] a Better match making system based on ELO ranking or something I dont know Im not a coder but it needs something better than what we have.... [b]2.[/b] We need a real competitive mode that is time limited to say weekends and then maybe once a month its open for a week something like trials.. but better...this mode would not have ranking but Tokens for winning and rewards from a vendor with 1 new weapon each season and make it expensive.

I would suggest eliminating both Quick/Comp and just allow players to pick any game mode. Right now quick play is the same as comp. Just bring back trials as an elimination match like D1. Pinnacle weapons should just be time spent in the crucible. It’s a bad idea to give a great weapon to a great player. They’re just going to stomp the ones that don’t have and that’s the shit we have now.

I'd say there should be bounties that we can do to protect against point loss for a certain amount of time. Even getting pubs from lfg is still a crapshoot at best as people are just... Bad at working with others. It's so annoying. Building off of number 5: The game needs to know if you were dcd because of ddos, server error or by yourself. If it's anything other than you then it shouldn't penalize you. Alternatively, if you rage quit, the team shouldn't suffer and the rage quitter should just lose all accumulated points for the team and get banned for a certain amount of time.

Sub-level floor for losing points. If you hit heroic 1 you cant lose points to put you below heroic 1. If you hit heroic 3 you can loose points until heroic 1, but not below. Also once you hit legend you can't loose to go back down, you have to reset and get moved to the next tier. A true ranking system that includes glory resets into tiers of people who have reset there glory and people that have not. Resets, wins, win percent, kills all can be tracked and put into leader boards to get people to chase and prove how good they are. With mention in the twab to promote the best players. Give us a reason to stay and play. A matchmaking system that works with the ranking system and applies to the highest ranked player in a team. I.E. if one 4 stack has a player that has rest his glory rank the whole team gets pulled up to the tier he has hit, instead of pulling him down to a lower level. as far as full stacks vs solos, sorry your going into comp better bring a team. and that's coming from a majority solo player.

I would be okay if they give 0 points and break your streak - but for me the reason I don't touch comp is the loss of points. Gambit's Legendary rank does it right - no points for losses, but also no active punishment. Losing a match already sucks - you lost 10 min and gained nothing - we really don't need to be further penalized, imo. Valor gives half points on loss - just make glory give 0 - but for the love of all that is holy, please remove the deduction mechanic. To be clear - I hate deduction on the bounties for Gambit and such as well. I just don't think Bungie should ever be actively punishing the player for bad performance - the failure from bad performance is enough of a punishment. The same reason I don't like games with revive costs (i.e. Borderlands). Death sucks enough, there doesn't need to be more suckage. Adding extra suckage makes people dislike things.

12 отв.Sorry but no. Competitive the only way to make it realitivly inviting is for no penalty for losing. You don't gain points but you don't lose them either. The idea behind the new gun means it will be a triumph of some kind much recluse and mountain top. Where part of it is a triumph to complete and then you have to reach a certain rank. Except this time you won't have to reach a certain rank just gather points of winning matches. Which is what the pinnicale weapons and the mida catalyst should have been instead of a stupid must have this rank. PvP should mean nothing. You should not get anything for reaching a rank because you sit there and play almost none stop against other players. That's my opinion on that. If anything I can say the pinnicale PvP weapons and catalyst should be reworked as what the new weapon is. Reach a certain number of points to earn your prize. That's still a grind and a half for most people. 3500 points is some near fabled 3 or mythic ranking. An there will be those who will be able to get that far on day one wether it be by manipulating bungies shit system or what have you to actually playing and winning none stop. But this makes it where even those less incline to play that they have a chance at getting this weapon so the game would be realitivly balanced because they will have the gun as well.

1 ответi mean there isnt much that they need to "reinvent".. 1.) weapons: they already had adept weapons.. justr have lunas howl for 6000 Points in total and the adept version for reaching legend 2.) armor.. have a set.. for reaching legend.. i mean how is this not in the game ? 3.) have ranks and use them.. it should take me several months to see the first lunas howl or not forgotten user when i start competitive.. newbs against newbs and pros against pros, how is that still difficult to understand.. noone gets into matchs with the top 10% unless they are in the top 20% .. thats the meaning of "competitive".. a level 4 noob should never be matched against a 20 reset guy on twitch.. thats a no brainer. i had people in my team that had their glory rank reset 15 times ! how are they allowed in my lobby?? 4.) unpopular opinion: have a hardcore mode where you ONLY can pick from a certain curated pool of weapons.. for the top of the top..

I think they should reverse pinnacle weapons: give _everyone_ a pinnacle weapon when they start Comp. But as they progress, if they get better at using the gun, they eventually lose access to it if they get too good at using it, forcing them to use other guns. And again, if you are too good with that set-up, you're forced to switch it up again, and again, and again. At the top tiers of Competitive, high-skill players would be fighting each other with Common guns because that's all that is left that they can use, because they've gotten too good at all the other weapons in the game. It would be interesting to force players out of the meta, out of their favourite loadouts, and make the so-called 'elite' players 'git gud' at _every_ gun, and not just spamming a 180 HC that can 2-tap. _That_ will truly separate the wheat from the chaff. As it stands, rewarding already-skilled players with a gun that only makes them better than others, _increases_ the skill gap between players, especially when they can then turn around and use said OP gun to actively prevent others from getting it. It's what happened in Trials in D1 where people would use Trials guns to keep others from reaching the Lighthouse. Of course, without dedicated servers, all this is moot.

In my opinion they have more rights to get the gun then all these cheaters!

In all honesty, every time I see one of these hardline stances it makes me think the op is deficient, doesn't understand the point of video games, and doesn't actually care about the health of the game... therefore I disregard everything else. They already count quitting as a loss, and THAT when combined with bad matchmaking is driving the playerbase down and is part of what's wrong with pvp in Destiny. People don't quit matches unless they have an emergency irl or unless they are extremely frustrated by the way the system us working. Therefore, address the system... adding more punitive measurements is just tiresome and draconian tactics NEVER work. Get your head on straight. It's a video game and it's SUPPOSED to be fun. If people are leaving matches from frustration at being matched improperly then the solution is to fix matchmaking because this is ENTERTAINMENT... not some lame attempt at creating an online Destiny plutocracy.

Give all players a reason to play in the playlist. Unique shaders, emblems, emotes, and weapon and armor ornaments. Give the 5500 players a reason to stay. In-game leaderboards, permanent team forming with seasonal titles and emblems, shaders to boot for top 5% teams. Comp is too sweaty for no in-game rewards in a loot based game. If I'm gonna play comp I want some cool FRICKIN loot, or to see my name on a leaders board if I'm good enough to make it

8 отв.I believe the sniper is too easy to get.you can literally win 1 every 10 games and still get it. It lowers the special trophy status of the weapon.

With trials, the trials of the nine weapons should be available as random rolls for rewards, but going flawless should reward "adept" curated weapons with perks that can't be rolled normally, or even unique perks. Pinnacle lite perks maybe. Armor should have chances at enhanced perks, with "adept" armor coming with only enhanced perks, fully masterworked, and with mods that can only be obtained on that armor set. Preferably PvP helpful mods.
