Video says it all, its only 1 minute but skip to 40-45 seconds to skip to the stomp and death.
Edit: my video shows a shield bash death but the stomp, ogre stare, and shield bash mechanics are all excessive. Being thrown completley off the map or to your death is what my post is about.

sword is the answer. The immediate sword strike following the stomp results in cancellation of the stomps momentum.
-
4 отв.Gotta say it: Equip a sword. Boss stomp, swing sword, follow with uppercut. Problem solved.
-
1 ответI just hope for D3 they start making different boss attacks that aren’t stomps. Something like giant Fallen picking you up and throwing you on the ground Hulk style.

1 ответ>assumes I play reckoning

1 ответNVMYGT You make some valid points and i agree that eververse must be removed from this game but, Whether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right team, we can punch through those defenses, take this beast out, and break their grip on Freehold

1 ответИзменено (Hawklune): 5/30/2019 9:37:33 PMI don't mind the stomp itself or the damage it does, its the speed that it throws you into a wall that's the issue, same with cabal shields.
-
Well it was also Blackout modifier too sooo.....
-
2 отв.Yeah honestly it's not that big of a deal. Even when this new season rolls over and super granting exotics get beat down a fair bit, we've still got Super Mods. Learn to coordinate with people who use their supers appropriately, and you won't have to worry about any knockback mechanics. I've never had an issue when I'm paired with decent people.
-
It is annoying but it is the only difficult mechanic of the reckoning. And if you have a decent team the whole thing is just super spam and easy. You just have to prioritise spawn killing them. As long as your team does this you will be ok 80% of the time.
-
2 отв.Изменено (Bullet Friendly): 5/30/2019 9:41:12 AMIt just in general needs a nerf. The boss using it should have a cool down like our side ability. It can keep the damage but it needs to shorten the distance it throws you. Bungie could put a little variety out there and make new moves. Vortex stomp. Sucks ya in. Slow stomp. Slows your running. Elemental stomps that don't push away but burn the ground around the boss. Root stomp. Sticks you in place. People would complain less if there was more variety.
-
3 отв.I'd rather the stomp be replaced with a swift, firm back hand.
-
Well with the sandbox it was built into, the only chance the majors have on the bridge if you’re running a stacked team is keeping you off the point
-
If only you had some kind of powerful long range weapon...oh wait :(
-
2 отв.there is a very simple answer to your problem. - Get Gud Scrub. Problem solved. (2,200 Glory, right????) . . . . sndh, can't even beat an easy, boring, stupid, non-moving IA target. WoW.
-
The constant curb stomp by the bosses is kinda ridiculous if your team doesn't nearly instant kill them they can be extremely painful
-
2 отв.I agree and its ridiculous everywhere. Swords will continue to be under utilized until this is not such an excessive thing.
-
It is excessive in all parts of the game.
-
And this why most people gravitate to sniping. And then Bungie’s like “HurDuR! SNiPeRs NeEd NeRF. HahAhahAhahHAHAaha”
-
Boss Stomp mechanic is a lazy development strategy, every boss type uses it. Could have added Stunning, even damage over time, rather than been booted miles back *Miles is just a saying, in case someone happens to say that is a bit excessive, I know what the community is like, rolls eyes
-
3 отв.You can cancel out deaths by using a melee at the same time they shield or stomp. Sure you take damage, but you don’t insta die. Most players don’t know they can do this. I could make a million posts but players still wouldn’t adapt. If the stomp mechanic is too much, might as well play pvp.
-
In every activity just like that stupid blackout modifier that keeps being used for EVERYTHING
-
2 отв.The boss stomp is excessive in every activity.
-
It’s a boring attack. Sometimes my invasions in gambit are caused by Primeval punting...
-
I think the boss stomp mechanic is a bit ridiculous everywhere, unless our bosses are cavitating the air around them,, I don't see any reason 4 jumping not to work. It's a bit annoying that the way of The Wraith has a completely useless perk, shattering strike which, like the Titan melting point, basically doubles all the damage you do to the boss or anything you stabbed with shattering strike. However, the boss Stomp mechanic prevents applying shattering strike to the boss without getting your face kicked in. And every single boss has it. There isn't a single boss that can't fling you off the map. By the way, we are effing Guardians, why in the hell are we getting picked up and thrown around like rag dolls
-
Only if we can also agree that lmg’s are too powerful for invading in gambit prime.

1 ответIt'd be fine if bosses didn't spam it. I get its purpose to discourage everyone from melee spamming, but as soon as you get within the radius of a stomp, the boss will start spamming without end. What would be nice is if there was some mechanic for a player to 'taunt' the boss to focus them, allowing other players to get close and deliver pain. Could work well as a Titan ability or something. A simpler idea is to have a sort diminishing return or cooldown on boss stomps so they don't just spam them back to back.
