The only one that doesn't make sense is sleeper, literally nobody uses that thing.
The Whisper nerf is harsh, but the thing hits like a literal truck still. Not many enemies would be able to take 126 Whisper shots from a fireteam of 6.
The LoW nerf seems big, and 20% reduction is big, but it'll still be pretty much the best DPS shotty in the game.
Ace isn't really an issue on console yet, I was predicting it'd become insanely prevalent after Lunas Forgotten got its well deserved slap. I know that the thing is insane on PC, and the nerf is reasonable.
And Slayerage put the exotic armor nerfs the best. Exotics that give super energy back are pretty much always going to be the best, they're a flawed concept. How much would Mechaneers Tricksleeves need to be buffed to compete with infinite tethers? Not to say that Mechaneers don't need love, they definitely should be buffed, but I think I made my point.
We can kill every boss that isn't health gated in basically under 10 seconds, virtually no combat activity is difficult because we are too strong if we just use the right build. Our DPS is so unbelievably strong that we can delete the final boss of a raid while ignoring basically every mechanic in the fight, every boss can be one phased.
I've asked it before, but I'll ask it again, how strong do you people need to be to be satisfied?

We need to be as strong as we are now to be satisfied. Better design and mechanics should be implemented not nerf. Lazy Bungie

I think the main reason why everybody is angry is because of the fact that the TWAB only listed nerfs. No buffs were mentioned at all. They should have listed some buffs after the nerfs. They can't release a TWAB like that and expect to not get flamed. I'll agree that a few of the nerfs are justified (Skull of Dire Ahamkara is a bit ridiculous), but this is a terrible time to make changes like this. I feel like a better nerf to Whisper would have been to just reduce its damage. It would keep the property that makes it unique, but at the cost of dps.

1 ответNo point talking common sense man, pitchforks and circle jerk posting is what the forums want. Nobody appears to like a challenge, they just want to pub stomp anything in the way. Good post anyway.

3 отв.
I've asked it before, but I'll ask it again, how strong do you people need to be to be satisfied?
As strong as they allowed us to be. I refuse to believe that people smart enough to trick rocks and plastic into displaying complex media via lights on a screen are stupid enough to not know how to do basic math. It is basic math to time how fast a gun shoots. It is basic math to look at flashing yellow numbers and add them together. They either knew what they were making or they are all idiots. Everyone knows power creep is bad, you don't have to watch Datto to know it. But here's the thing they gave us back a gun and promised not to change it and did it anyways. This is their fault not ours. Video games are the only entertainment medium where the things we have paid for can be changed against our wishes. We have a right to be angry when the things we have been given are taken away from us when some corporation decides we aren't having fun the way they want us to.

1 ответИзменено (LouieMags4): 5/19/2019 5:18:08 PMFor me the issue is knowingly releasing a powerful exotic into the game to simply inflate numbers, sell skins in Eververse, then nerfing the thing in 4-6 months down the road. It feels bad and makes me not want to play. It’s just bad business. My focus is not on power creep, I get that, more so it’s about releasing a powerful exotic that is reasonable. When you willingly know that White Nail is broken, why bring it back? Because you lied to everyone. You had no intention of keeping it in the game in the first place. When D2 was on life support, they just did a flash in the pan move to spike numbers. You can do the same thing while operating a corporation. However, in the end, you won’t remain solvent because you continuously spike the short term results over long term sustainability. It’s just treating your customers like they’re disposable hamsters on a wheel and not respecting their time. People will see through this model and in the end won’t feel respected and won’t stick around.

14 отв.We’ll be as strong as we can. Just don’t blame the power we’ve been given as the cause for stationary, easy to hit bosses being eaten by high DPS weapons. That’s what we’re unsatisfied with: their laziness in this situation
how strong do you people need to be to be satisfied?
Well, after 45min. running, jumping, crouch-walking, and whatever else it took to get to that boss (and RNG), I want it burnt crispy as soon as possible. Outside of patrols, enemies scale to your damage output, so you aren't really powerful. I'd like to be surprised at how powerful we could be one time to be honest.

2 отв.What do you mean no one uses sleeper? Who's skilled enough to land that many consistent headshots with whisper? Why are you basing you're entire argument on "we're the problem"?

Изменено (DuBChiri2): 5/20/2019 7:59:14 PMThey are indeed justified, but this is NOT the time to do it. Let me throw this situation at you: You are a twitch streamer. You are under review for a partnership. During your evaluation, you say every bad word in the book when you sold yourself as child friendly. You then fail to capture you past audience anymore and fail your chance at partnership. So what do you do? You change back to how you were. You get some people back and say you won't do it again. Oh get your second chance at a review for partnership. Then you -blam!- it up again. How many times are you going to continue giving your community false hope that you are going to be different, only to back stab them again? Should you expect you can continue to try this a third or fourth time? I don't think so. To summarize what I mean. Bungie gave us so much time to get comfortable with this stuff. They baited us into believing that they will be different, that they aren't complete idiots...only to do the opposite. And when they need to sell themselves the most, they show us that our beliefs and trust is not deserved nor is it respected. They gave us so much time to enjoy what happens, only to end it all in one fell swoop. It's not a tweak to reduce their effectiveness like ace of spades and Lord of wolves is, for the exotic armor and whisper it's a full on nerf. And for gear that they let us get comfortable with and planned to nerf, they did a pretty stupid job designing content that supported those particular exotics. Bungie is too fixed on creating this boring and linear "fight ads and shoot a standing boss" ideology. Maybe they wouldn't have to nerf them if every activity wasn't just the exact same shit with a different skin. I get it's easier said than done, but now is the worst time to do it. Let the people who actually play the game find their way through stuff and tweak it from there. There's no real justification for nerfing the super armor because they purposely design activities that become near impossible without them. Like...i understand reckoning a good representation of that, but designing it to only be doable with them is going to give extremely limited results. And more than likely, the change to the armor won't make a difference in what people use because most other exotics are shit.
-
Well they could actually balance the weapons before they put them in the game, but they’re either too lazy or incompetent to do that. At this stage Bungie are nothing but a bad joke.
-
1 ответI'm sure there are plenty shitting on OP in the comments. But the real question is: Is he wrong?
-
We want what we had. Not some watered down weapon, armor or super. But that’s what D2 is. A watered down version of D1. Bungie sold us a product. That’s the product we bought. Nothing to do with satisfied or your take on this.
-
The changes are justified, but tough challenges deserve good rewards, Bungie needs to remember that.
-
2 отв.Amen brother. I like a challenge, but the strikes I ran last night were a joke. Without even knowing what the modifiers were, we burned every single boss before the mechanics played out. It's fun for a while, but I'm ready for some challenge again.
-
7 отв.Agreed for the most part. Super exotics will basically always be the best choice and they limit interesting exotics from shining.
-
Very much agreed. You seem to be oneness if a few people in their right mind. I don’t like the nerfs but they are all understandable
-
Most of the nerfs are justified?!? Most of your face is justified!..... Wait. That's no insult..... Fair enough dude. You are more than entitled to your opinion and I'm not going to shit on you because of our difference in opinions. #positiveforum

No. Hell no. Not at all.
-
Ah, you spelled unjustified wrong
-
PvE nerfs are never justified.

Re: super regen exotics. We all know they’re going to go too far with it. They went too far with it with the Shards of Galanor and the Ursa Furiosas (which they somehow claimed are being nerfed even further), now they’ll just handicap the other super regen exotics into uselessness. I think a sensible nerf to these exotics would be to cap their regen at 50%. That way you’re still getting up to twice as many supers with these exotics equipped, but it isn’t so insane as to be able to say throw multiple nova bombs in the span of only a few seconds. As for the rest, I more or less agree. Sleeper change seems stupid. Lord of Wolves change is meh since I don’t use it, but I’ve heard it’s still going to be doing among the most damage of any shotgun. Ace of Spades wasn’t so much a nerf as an adjustment. I think they could’ve done something different with the Whisper change, though, as right now entirely removing its ability to regen ammo basically just means that the Whisper without the catalyst is only exotic in how it’s a heavy sniper, as Lunafaction rifts or rally barricades do the job of reloading for you. I think a better change might’ve been to mix pulling from reserves and pulling from thin air. Say, 1 is pulled from thin air, 2 from reserves. It wouldn’t be infinite ammo, but it would be exotic, unlike how it’s going to be now.

Slayerage is a -blam!-ing clown
