A reminder to all the rage:
"We want to ensure that encounters—raids and other endgame content, for example—remain a challenge. Some of these weapons have been overwhelming that challenge. Our first choice is to buff underused weapons, but if we continue to push every weapon up higher and higher, it will be impossible to maintain challenging experiences."
Do you want the game to be a steamroll with exotics so powerful that you skip boss mechanics?

God forbid we avoid being stomped into the ground or endlessly team wiped. The pinacle of game design.

3 отв.So in short, they aren't creative enough to figure it out, and decide nerfing is the only solution.

8 отв.With that kind of thought process, you can argue that they should remove all guns but a Traveler's Judgment. Remove all Supers, Grenades, Melees, and Jumps. With every Guardian class having 0 Mobility, 0 Resilience, and 0 Recovery. And tune their Raids around that new sandbox. Because they want their raids to be difficult, without those crazy exotics/perks that might have a higher variable for success. Only one gun. No Supers. No melees/grenades. No Jumps. It would be truly balanced. And boring. For both PvE and PvP. But then they may end up nerfing precision damage because some players are better at landing headshots than their QA team, and kill their raid boss 1 second faster. They can't have a skill gap in this new nerf zone. That's too dangerous for the sandbox as it would diminish the difficulty, and thus the quality, of the raid.

2 отв.Agree. Most rage is caused by mindless sheep. People nowadays don't think for themselves and are easily led by the mob mentality.

17 отв.Use your head idiot The new raid is going to be absolute garbage and you know it true because if your priorities are to nerf everything to make it more “challenging “ Instead of actually having a decent boss mechanic it’s a bad move On top of that the second problem is that half the people who raid are more concerned about getting through it as fast as possible. Now that the nerfs are coming it will be like Do a raid in 2 hours not any more it’s 4 now And what does that bring more requirements to raid Congratulations bungie you made elitist great again Your post is just another example of someone A trolling B not thinking out side the box....or at all

2 отв.butthurt much about luna and nf nerfs, bro?
-
1 ответThey needed to be pulled back. But they stated they wanted us to try other exotics... 90% of the exotic armor pieces are completely trash. This is not a good plan to get us to use them... Because they are still trash. They should have announced more buffs than nerfs.

4 отв.Well that's like your opinion man. The game can be challenging already without the nerfs. I barely ever used whisper until bergusia forge and outbreak mission. Super generation speed is slow even with mods. With these stupid timed missions you need supers and strong weapons. I never used whisper on the whisper mission. From the spot I was shooting at enemies I didn't have the best line of sight making it hard to keep white nail going. And then there's an issue with power ammo. Even with heavy ammo finder on there are plenty of times you won't see a purple brick. Plus there isn't any ammo synthesis. That's the reason why people might have been using whisper a lot. And the boss designs also make it easier to just use the damn gun. If people want a challenge that's alright just don't equip anything to boost super or use weaker weapons. But nerfing stuff to get people to use the other guns does take away the power fantasy. I've always loved having the choice to melt a boss quickly or switch to something that draws the fight out longer. That's what makes the pve content replayable imo. Facing the same bullet sponges with mediocre crap will get stale quickly.
-
No, but encourage us to use the guns by making them better instead of penalizing people because they use what they enjoy. Also, if they want to make content more challenging, then get creative.
-
As of now, tier 3 of the reckoning is the end game activity for this season. And even with those exotics at full power it can be difficult on certain modifiers. So I dont believe for a second bungie is doing this to make things "challenging" when challenging activities already exist. Bungie is upset because the top tier players steamroll through their activities so they want to make it harder for them. Which in turn makes it twice as hard for the average player.

Um whisper is a legendary now no reason not to use rally barricades or lunafaction boots.
-
In normal activities like Flashpoints, Strikes, and possibly even Nightfalls without trying to meet the point requirements? Yeah, being able to steamroll those is great! But steamrolling an END GAME activity like, oh I don’t know... A Raid?! Why in the world would anyone want to do that?! It’s completely ridiculous that people want the PvE power fantasy when it comes to armor and weapons to allow them to easily do a freaking raid. When in the world has any game developer with a big, Raid level activity thought “You know, let’s make these items so ridiculously powerful that you could be a complete idiot of a player yet still solo it!” Never. That has NEVER happened to my knowledge.

Изменено (Smough): 5/17/2019 9:19:40 PMBungie should design content around the weapons and armor they design instead of nerfing. Would whisper for example be a problem if some bosses didn’t sit still and didn’t have a giant crit spot unlike every other boss in the game? No, I don’t think it would. Imagine a boss where you couldn’t rely on hitting crits for damage? That would perfectly balance out whisper. It would have been better for bungie to release whisper how it will be after the nerf instead of releasing it, letting people get used to it and have fun with how it currently performs, and then nerfing it.

Disagree.
