swords should be reworked to be more usable than now.
They should be made into special weapons
Pls leave feedback i want this to happen

10 отв.I say keep them as heavy, but buff the HELL out of them. For example: -50% damage buff -increased reserves for all swords -Worldline Zero's Tesseract attack does 50% more damage in PvE (100% in total) -Black Talon's energy blasts do 50% more damage in PvE. -Blocking with swords actually works -Movement speed increased by 10% when holding any sword
-
I think swords should not use any ammo for the light attack and only use the ammo for the heavy attack. This would make them a decent option
-
Hell yes. Move the legendary swords into the special slot and leave the exotics where they are, just like shotguns. I would even be okay with a slight damage nerf if this were to happen. I just want to use a sword and not feel like I'm hurting my team.
-
Yes, it needs the range it has back in D1. Then it could truly be a “heavy”
-
6 отв.They are fantastic in pve. Great damage and ammo efficiency.
-
I remember running them in Taken/Siva Heroic strikes. They were viable then, but not anymore. Looking back at my D1 inventory, I realized that I never really used shotguns. It was all Snipers and Fusions.

Изменено (Lahgtah): 5/15/2019 9:18:22 PMAllow the guard animation to override the swing animation. Don't know how many times I've been killed because I had to wait for my character to stop twirling like some gay ballerina before blocking. Ammo reserves should be increased. Given the high risk playstyle of a sword, you'd think it'd be more rewarding to use one well. That's unfortunately untrue. More aggressive and lightweight frames in the loot pool. The adaptive frame moveset is the absolute worst out of all three due to its long animation delay following a combo. The uppercut effect also will lunge through targets more often than it will actually hit them. There's a reason I have over 20,000 kills with crown-splitter, and barely any with any other masterworked sword. Fix the lunge targeting. There is absolutely no reason I should be lunging at something behind me; if it's not in, say, a 90 degree cone in front of me, I should not lunge at it. Have all swords increase sprint speed slightly. I've been killed so many times because enemies backpedal as fast as I can sprint. An exotic sword designed with PvE in mind that is an aggressive frame sword. Once again, adaptive frame sucks. Bad for killing adds because no cleaving, bad for killing bosses because heavy attack lunges too far. Instead of healing immediately after guarding, have Stronghold reduce all incoming damage when wielding a sword in addition to guarding not consuming ammo. Even with all this on top of a damage boost, swords would still be underwhelming because the game itself is built around fighting at range. There would still be many encounters a sword simply would not work on. For that reason, swords ought to be compensated.

They really shafted titans when they made a whole ass garbage exotic for them

5 отв.I miss my Memory of Gheleon and my Dark-Drinker...

7 отв.blocking needs to be like D1 imo not this crappy 3 shots and there goes ALL your ammo every other power weapon has a special counterpart so I don't see why a sword can't have one as well
-
I think they should be moved to energy slot. 1. They can counter shotguns, smgs, sidearms in PvP 2. There damage output sucks compared to Machine Guns, Rockets.

1 ответИзменено (TheArtist): 5/14/2019 7:41:01 PMThe swords themselves are fine. The problem is that Bungie changed their content design philosophy such that swords are kind of a waste of heavy ammo. Like others say, they need to be moved to the energy slot if Bungie is going to keep designing content this way. Long story short....as a heavy weapon....Swords don't do enough damage to warrant the RISK you take usiing them in PVE. 1. You have to give up using exotic heavy weapons that do a LOT more damage from a much safer distance. 2. You have too many stomp and melee mechanics where bosses, Mini-bosses, and Tier 2 enemies can knock you around the play space for massive damage....or even OHKs. 3. If you are going to get that close, SHOTGUNS do much more damage....from a safer distance...and get a LOT more ammo to work with. So---becasue of design changes, and the new risk-benefit scenarios that go with those changes----shotguns have assumed almost all of the role that swords used to play..... ...and what wasn't taken over by shotguns got inherited by grenade launchers. Therefore no one takes a sword into any PVE content where there is any significant risk of failure. Unlike in Destiny 1....when I'd routinely carry a sword into the Voksis 2 fight in WoTM...and many used Dark Drinker for the Aksis fights.

1 ответAll non exotic swords should be moved to secondary and leave exotic swords in heavy. It should have been this way from the moment they decided to have 3 freaking shotgun slots.
-
If they did this stronghold would be in the top 5 overall exotics in the game so I'm down. Make titans relevant in endgame PvE.
-
Been saying this for ages. Swords are essentially shotguns with worse range. They should be special.
-
2 отв.Swords don’t deserve their heavy ammo slot. They’re too risky to use without enough reward to balance that risk and that’s just in PvE. Swords have no place in PvP considering shotguns are so common. The only sword that should stay as a heavy is Black Talon but only because it’ll be pretty broken in PvP if it was a special weapon.
-
3 отв.They've showed swords repeatedly in advertising for season of impotence. I'm thinking a rework or a major buff is coming.

Special weapons? Hell no. They just need to be returned to D1 glory with the extra armor perk and smoother play with more ammo. Last time I played D1 I was running around with 81 ammo on my boltcaster and it was actually fun to use.
-
1 ответNot enough DPS to justify using then compared to other weapons of the same slot Primary weapons do a better job at clearing out ads every boss/big enemy in this game has a stomp mechanic.even if you can stick yourself to the boss hell most likely kill you within 2-3 stomps while any other heavy would be able to out DPS while being safe in the back.
-
1 ответThe only thing that I can think of is that the ammunition level’s way to low. The main problem is with bungie understanding of weapons. That the sword is practically the dark ages version of a auto rifle and needs the same level of ammunition for it
-
More ammo and bring back Raze Lighter. It had a good lunge attack to it and did lots of damage. And as a result of the lunge being so aggressive, you can stick to bosses during their stomp mechanics. Put down a bubble or well, and you are good to go

8 отв.The main issue is we dont move fast enough, you cant get a strike in before your oppt back pedlas you witb an AR.
-
They’d be even worse as special weapons. They just need their charges and damage buffed. That’s it.
