Shards is the equivalent or Skull of Dire yet it hardly even gives 1/8th of your super back after you have killed the entire population of the enemies. Skull of Dire on the other hand all you need to get another Nova Bomb is kill 1 yellow and maybe 3 red bars. If I kill 1 yellow and 3 red bars on my hunter with BB the game laughs at me as I dont even get a regen at all maybe an inch of the bar. It feels so inconsistent compared to another armor that does the same job. I understand that it also "regens" on hits but you can't say that it is even noticeable. If I'm using that in Reckoning because we already have a tether and I use BB on bridge I can literally wipe clean the bridge and have a 1/4th super return. Skull of Dire does that it would have super back on first 4 kills. I'm not saying a nerf to Skull needs to happen I'm saying Shards needs to function close to the same so a small buff to it would be fine. Trust me Hunters wouldn't main Shards in PvP if it did there is still far better exotics to use instead. Sorry for the book bit it helps make the case.

I'd propose they scale back the super energy recharge rate on hits, and give definite bumps in super energy for kills. Kills should reward a predetermined percentage

4 отв.No, it’ll be broken in PvP again, that’s why it was nerfed to begin with. Skull in PvP is borderline useless somehow and that’s why it’s so good in PvE it hasn’t been hit because of PvP.

Shards is nothing like skull of ahamkara, the skull needs you to get kills in order to return super energy. Shards give super energy on hit AND kills, it makes sense that shards will never be as good as the skull of ahamkara. On pve shards are just as strong as the skull, maybe a but less because of some bug bungie didnt bother fixing. On pvp its about the same as skull because you wont ever get as much super energy so its not all that great. I agree to a buff on it on pve but it can stay the same on pvp

1 ответIdk about PvP but shards seem rather consistent for me in PvE. Killed some trash ads (red bars) got about 10%. Hit a mini-boss and kill some smaller yellow names, got about 50%. Hit the final boss in the revelry and always got 75%. Granted I did all this in the infinite forest it still was always consistent. Hitting a boss gives stupid good energy, where as killing trash mobs don’t reward as much. Makes sense and is easy to understand the reasoning behind it. Feels fine to me.

Of course you're not going to get a great energy return on the bridge in The Reckoning. Shadow Thralls don't have to take much damage before they die, and the energy return is based on damage dealt primarily. If you hit two of the bosses on the bridge at once then you'd get much better results. Before the nerf, which shards definitely needed, most Hunters I know and saw on here would refuse to admit that was the case, and say that I'm "salty because BB is strictly better than Nova Bomb". They couldn't conceive that their ability needed tuning. Now that Nova Bomb and Skull of Dire Ahamkara is better, everything I see is "Shards are unusable" or "Nerf Skull and Nova Bomb" or "BB shouldn't be worse than NB". It's as if they don't understand it's the exact same situation as before with roles reversed. I don't deny that Skull is streets ahead of Shards, but the attitude from Hunters surrounding the changes, before and after, has been nothing short of appalling IMO.

I know they nerfed it down to only super for knife hits but even on huge yellow bars, it's hard getting every knife to hit unless you wanna kill yourself by gettin right into their face. I hit two yellow bar witches in reckoning and literally only got a 4th of super back. And they were hugged up. What is this inconsistent nonsense? I lowkey feel as though the tracking got nerfed too. My knifes literally only ever fly in a straight line now from what it seems, meaning like 60% of the knives miss.

The only way you get most of your super back is by focusing on single large targets, not trash mobs.

If they made it like skull of dire ahamkara it would be more viable tin PvE and as it should be in PvP. In PvE you literally have your head on a swivel trying to get all the blades to hit enough enemies to get effectively a 3rd of your super back.

3 отв.They need to find a way for it not to be so effective in pvp then, because before they nerfed it during mayhem a hunter could literally jump up once, cast it, and spam cast it in the air as long as he kept hitting 1 guy and he would remain invincible while doing so because of the activation invincibility.

Agreed, when in mayhem or the third round of Gambit it gives you infinite super. But in regular use, it's poopy compared to Skull o.d.a.
