This forum, and Destiny in general, is depressing.
I used to play D2 daily and i had fun playing. I raided almost daily and did nightfalls and crucible matches with friends and clanmates alike, then Forsaken dropped.
With Forsaken came some good but it also brought the demise of the end game as i see it. They decided the quantity over quality was the best way to go and stuck to that philosophy through out this entire season pass debacle. Also this exacerbated, if not started, THE AGE OF SILENCE. A period of virtual silence from those who are supposed to be bungie. It's not as if bungie hasn't said anything at all, on the contrary, the climb out of their hole once a week to babel about stuff inconsequential to the majority of players actual experience and complaints. And if they do happen to say something that will actually effect the average player its in a negative way that will make their gameplay even more unbearable.
Ever since THE AGE OF SILENCE began, nothing but misery has visited those that still bother to play this god forsaken game. A time when if a vast majority of the players say they want something changed to make the game slightly more fun or worth coming back to, all knowing and all powerful bungo smiles and promptly tells everyone who has an opinion to go fck themselves because "scrw you we're bunige".
Now every time I take a look at the forums to see if anything good has happened, i see nothing but depression and misery spreading though the gamers who desperately want to enjoy this game and when i make the unfortunate decision to put in the D2 disk more out of a habit formed over many long years of playing, i am reminded of why i left.

In typical Bungie fashion they use devs to create a game changing expansion and then pull them off the game to start working on the sequel, leaving us with a live team that couldn’t be more out of touch with the community. Content is now made with the streamer in mind and not the average player, hence the team and clan deaths of many. It used to be that three to four strong players could carry a team of six regardless of death, death timers and convoluted activities took away from the fun shoot em up style of D1.

11 отв.The same people who were toxic as hell year one are the same ones who are toxic as hell now. It's the 10% who want the entire game catered to them. They went into every post screaming "dead game" and "D2 sucks" in year one and now they call people lazy for not liking the insane forced investment of year 2. Bungie decided these people were who they should listen to and everyone else quit the game.

5 отв.Most of the whiners are not even playing Destiny lol Forsaken is amazing, AP was amazing. I agree on prices being a bit up but Destiny does not lack content but this forums lack logic.

Emperor penguins (IIRC) incubate their eggs in the cold of Antartica by carrying around on the tops of their feet to keep them off the ice. Once the chicks hatch....they are also carried around on the parent's feet in order to keep them warm and protect them from the weather. But there is a transition point where the chick gets too big to be carried around like this. The vast majority of penguins know instinctively that its time to let go of control...and let the chick move around on its own, and continue to grow. But EVERY SO OFTEN...you get a set of penguins who won't let the chick go. They keep trying to force the chick back onto their feet to "protect" it....despite it being too big. What happens? Unless the parents stop this, they eventually KILL the chick. They literally SMOTHER it, in their effort to "protect" it, and their unwillingness to relinquish control.

Forum toxicity of the community is irrelevant to the ‘depressingness’ of destiny. Destiny is just stale and old, the outcome of lazy directors. I agree with your title.

3 отв.I’m glad you managed to make a full post without using the word toxic. Gamers in general don’t know what that word means and just substitute it for “opinions I don’t agree with”. I agree with your post. The game feels bad. The atmosphere around it feels bad. I would really like to see some new signs of life and something to be hopeful about. For me personally Bungie has burned the bridges that used to mean I would support them and by all content released no questions asked. I still want to see the game survive and thrive.

Bungie pushed all the normal players away by catering to elitist neckbeards, nerfing everything PvP players cry about, and not fixing their game. Activision had enough of the incompetence too.

1 ответForum is Depressing Destiny 2 is just ok I only come to the forums to find out about bugs, exploits, or dev interference. My biggest complaint is Bungie not providing more information in-game, especially when it’s related to something they have disabled due to an exploit or a bug. Changes that alter game play or criteria to meet an objective needs to be in-game push notifications and load in splash screen.

Lol, it's too funny how seriously people take this game sometimes...I'm still enjoying it and Forsaken was probably the best expansion we have ever seen in the franchise. Endgame has become the focus, not sure where you are getting the idea that endgame is is suffering. It's the casual aspects of the game that are becoming less involved. And I understand some people don't like that but this is how bungie said they are developing it now.

Why is it that WARFRAME ,not everybody’s favourite game has regular dev streams and communicates with the community. Bungie find this process so hard to do surely it would be in there interests to do something similar

Well we need loot for one thing nothing loot wise in D2 is amazing. Secondly nerfs need to stop there simply is no reason to grind for anything when you already KNOW its going to get nerfed.

15 отв.Only thing depressing about the game are these forums. No matter what bungie does, the 'community' on here complains. And since complaining gets the attention of bungie, it seems people here have contest to see who can complain the most and loudest. If i wasnt having fun with the game the way a lot of the people that post on here say they arent, i wouldnt play it, come to the boards, nothing. I wouldnt think about destiny 2 cause i would be playing other games that i found fun. Yet, here they still are lol.
