There is no "safety" when using a scout in PvP. Pulse rifles, sniper rifles, Jotunn, bow+rift - all of these can cross entire maps and either 1-tap/release or 2-tap/burst.
Scout rifles should be feared again. They need at least a 45% buff. That will put slow firing 150s in 2-tap land. Offset that with abysmal body shot damage and we're gtg.

the last time in this games history that scouts were good it happened because all other weapons got nerfed down to their level, i just hope that this doesnt happen a 3rd time
-
Scouts are good in PvP at least for me. Scouts suck moose balls in gambit against npc enemies. Love I can only stand veist scout or high impact frames.
-
hahahahahahahahaha i hope bungie ignores your post or this game is ruined
-
I BASICALLY want a scout rifle with a lot of stability and 20 in the mag (probably use a mod) triple tap and dragonfly or outlaw. That's all I want.
-
hell, I'll settle for decent stats or at least mediocre at this point they are completely neutered after the "re"-buffs they hit them with. They weren't great at the launch of D2 damage wise in PvE but in PvP they were alright. Hi-cal round made them a bit OP but I'd settle for them being good in PvE more than anything. I feel they were nerfed just to make bows look better. which isn't really necessary since bows are pretty good in some circumstances.

My scout nf 3 taps broo

Scouts can continue to be nerfed into the ground in pvp, doesn't bother me. Scouts need a serious PvE buff though. I've been forcing myself to use them in strikes, on patrol, what have you, and they used to be a lot better. The recent buff kinda helps, but it's not quite enough. Scouts should be able to one shot shanks no matter what, and they should take out most red bar un-shielded enemies with a headshot (rapid fire frames should be the only exception, not counting the bulky redbars like gladiators, servitors, knights and the like).
-
5 отв.Pulse rifles have way too much range. That's the biggest problem with scouts. Adjust that, and scouts would be in a pretty decent place.
-
4 отв.Come on man. You’re asking for a scout buff... in PvP. That’s not going to end well. They need the buff in PvE, across the board, but just PvE. Otherwise everyone will complain about them being OP because apparently PvP is all that matters.
-
I've been using scouts a lot this season and think they are pretty solid. Definitely not weak as some make them out to be.
-
Scouts are in a great spot actually. Any buff to any archetype of scout would make one way more powerful than the others. The problem for scouts is there are no maps that are optimal for what it's for.
-
The gambit prime scout is a beast as is jade rabbit and others.

2 отв.Изменено (SirTilley): 4/17/2019 8:33:22 PMBIG disagree. Jade Rabbit already has the same TTK as Ace, giving it a 0.44 TTK (2 shot) from across the map would be INSANE. Pulses are annoying and I think the flinch should be reduced but that's a problem with pulses, not scouts. Even the fastest bows have a TTK of over 1 second and frankly if you're getting cross-mapped by Jotuun you really need to learn how to use your right stick. Scout rifle metas are some of the more boring, un-dynamic gameplay we've ever had in the Crucible. Remember the D2Y1 Mida meta? There is nothing worse than sitting back pegging people with scouts being a dominant tactic. The problem with scouts isn't the weapon, it's the maps. If Bungie would release some new maps that were designed for 6v6 not 4v4 then you'd have space to use scouts.
-
I'm not disagreeing with you that scouts need some love, but I still have flashbacks of the team shoot scout meta😫😫😫
-
3 отв.I can three tap with my Polaris on most guardians.
-
I agree scouts still need a little something. Not sure about two-tapping, though. But they might be an effective tool during the Revelry, since they can hit farther out than people can hurl grenades.
-
1 ответWith the current state of PVP I don't see Scout rifles fitting in anywhere. Teams of 6 on maps designed for 4, and super sweaty, you're not going to last long with a scout rifle. Fusion rifles have certainly make a big comeback, and I'm not talking about just the Jotunn. I was killed, a lot, by fusion rifles last night. Yeah, I know I suck in PVP so need to go out of your way to tell me.
-
Yes because weapons that can two tap across the map will not cause any balancing issues whatsoever.
-
I miss my Fang, I couldn't be bothered to put that gun down. The slow firing 3 tap scouts were my JAM in D1.
-
2 отв.Back in Destiny 1 I would run nothing BUT scouts in PvE. Now it’s rare for me to ever equip one.
-
8 отв.150s in two tap land... That's a 0.4 second TTK. That's faster than The Recluse. And you want something like Jade Rabbit to do that? Please no. 1 week in that meta and everyone will be more tired of that than they are of 180 RPM hand cannons now. No. Absolutely not. That's not balance. Not even close. The problem is that a lot of maps don't support scouts. Pulses like Blast Furnace and Go Figure have WAY too much range. They have so much range that most scouts aren't needed. But, there are some scouts that are good already. 150s have a rather fast TTK at 0.8 seconds and 200s with kill clip have a TTK at 0.6 seconds on most guardians to my knowledge. Scouts are fine in PvP. Buff them in PvE and tone down the outlying pulses. And maybe we'll get some maps for them in the next expansions.
-
I would slightly reduce the reach of pulse rifles and give scout rifles a buff in PvE damage. I wouldn't change anything else for PvP. Other than pulse rifles having too much overlap in effective range, the big problem for scout rifles is that most of the maps are too small to take advantage of their strengths.
-
Yeah, and forget trying to challenge someone hardscoping a lane with a sniper or linear. Scouts simply don't, and can't compete anymore.
-
They just buffed scouts. Reducing the amount of flinch scouts take would solve the issue. It’s very difficult to have a gun fight with these things. Buffing body shot damage would help
-
People really do underestimate scouts. Polaris Lance, Jade Rabbit, Transfiguration and the Gambit Prime Scout are all nasty in the right hands.

Изменено (Alkanphell): 4/18/2019 8:26:41 AMIDK man. I feel like there just aren't any maps to let them shine. They're plenty strong. Jade rabbit Polaris Lance The purpose G.prime scout Mida That's just off the top of my head 5 bangers that slay. They just have like, across all maps, maybe 7 firing lanes where they can flex. It's not their fault. It's little maps. Same with pulse. It's not that they're broken, it's the pint size maps making it seem like it.
