So why would god punish people who don’t love him? That’s kinda childish.

It’s not a feeling. It’s a desire to do what’s good for the world, other people, yourself, and God. If you don’t do what good for all that, your gonna get punished.

That’s messed up.[/quote] I guess so, but I’m not even religious anymore anyway. I will like to point out though that all references to hell in the Bible are very vague (just like most things in the Bible). Many just call it a lake of fire where souls are sent. It is called a “second death”, and in one passage it literally says it destroys souls. So, it could just be a place where souls are wiped from existence, instead of eternal suffering. But, the church probably knows more about this stuff than I do.
