this I would love. I played a LOT of ESO, and I loved the customization and min/max-ing. Destiny would also need voice/text chat to help with forming groups and coordinating fireteams. There needs to be an ESO-like space shooter

I’d just come off of Skyrim and Borderlands and thought this would be a mix of the 2. Obviously, it didn’t turn out to be. And while I think it has the potential to go there with lore, skill trees, and style, from what we’ve seen for nearly 5 years now, I don’t think it ever will. In fact, unless rumors are true and I rarely believe rumors, it almost looks like they’re going the opposite route. 🙁🤷♂️

yeah I heard that also. I really hope it is not true. they gutted Destiny when they made D2, and if they go even more casual-friendly they will lose me as a customer. This game needs MORE options customization, skill trees (both on abilities and weapons), voice/text chat, and above all a reason to log in every day (im looking at you D1 strike specific loot). ESO has a ridiculous amount of content compared to both Destiny games combined. And that is just sad considering ESO is younger (as a game) than D1 by about a year

Exactly. But I do think Destiny has better mechanics and character movement overall. More “human” so to speak. You can tell most is motion capture as opposed to programming. Especially the emotes. That’s why I’m hoping they go the deeper RPG route as well. A combination of the two would be epic. But I still gotta say, as you said with the stripping down of D1 to D2, I just don’t see it happening. 😢 I’m hoping BL3 has it. 1 & 2 were amazing. Moon one was meh but livable. BL3 trailers look amazing. But if nothing else, Destiny/Bungie has taught me that the hype train isn’t always on the right track with the final product. 🤷♂️
